6 Parish News and Diocesan News ADMINISTRATOR OF MARYDALE RETIREMENT VILLAGE SENIOR HOUSING The Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities is accepting applications for the position of Administrator of Marydale, a HUD/Section 8, and 108 unit community for low-income seniors and persons with disabilities under age 62 who require the features of an accessible unit. FULLTIME DIRECT SERVICE SPECIALIST The Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities is seeking two Fulltime Direct Service Specialists for Bayard House, a community based maternity home for teenage girls and women within the city of Wilmington. Coordinator, CYM Sports The Diocese of Wilmington is seeking a full-time Coordinator of CYM Sports programs responsible for coordinating all CYM athletic programs and ensuring compliance with Diocesan Safe Environments standards. BASIC NEEDS CASE MANAGER The Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities seeks a Fulltime Basic Needs Case Manager to work in Sussex County, Delaware, providing direct service, case management and advocacy to individuals requesting financial assistance and financial self-sufficiency information, including developing good landlord relations and providing referrals to other community resources. To apply or find out more info on these jobs, go to EEO OPPOSE HB 160, a bill that will legalize Assisted Suicide The bill, both lethal and unnecessary, acts to impose assisted suicide on the citizens of Delaware and compromises the integrity of the state s health care system. This dangerous legislation is part of a larger, national agenda through Compassion and Choices (formerly aka The Hemlock Society) to normalize assisted suicide in as many states as possible. It is opposed by leading medical communities, including the Delaware Medical Society. Delaware citizens facing a terminal diagnosis and who may still have years to live, deserve our support, love and care. We urge the legislature and the governor to reject assisted suicide, physician-assisted suicide, and euthanasia, as enshrined in HB 160. Please contact your DE Representative, today, to vote NO on HB 160 Present this coupon at Tony s Bistro and Raymond will donate 20% of the total bill to HF Church Tony s Bistro - 29 Chestnut Hill Plaza Newark, DE Amount of Bill $ First of all, happy St. Patrick s Day! We were blessed to have many volunteers and patrons who made our parish Lenten Fish Fry Dinners successful. Thank you and may God continue to bless you all for your support of Holy Family Catholic Church. We still have a few weeks of Lent to go until we can celebrate the Resurrection. Please keep in mind the people that need our help and support the Holy Family Outreach. To become a Knight, contact Tony Malafronti (302) or Joel Watson (302) Socks for Soldiers Cardinal Gibbons Assembly, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, is partnering with a unique group that sends SOCKS to our Army and Marine Units that are actively deployed. We are partnering with the San Clemente Marine Corps Group (501c) to raise money to send additional approved Socks to deployed troops. Why Socks? The Infantry spends all of their time on their feet. Laundry facilities are not always available, field washing is not always possible and does not get the socks 100 % clean. Imagine the irritation! WE ARE NOT COLLECTING SOCKS, RATHER, WE ARE ASKING FOR DONATIONS! You do not need be a 4th Degree to donate. This project is open to all. Would you help support this Cardinal Gibbons Assembly project with a donation of $3.00? This Patriotic initiative will conclude March 31, We, the Patriotic 4th Degree, are requesting the cost of a pair of socks. We cannot accept socks because they must meet GAO standards. Make checks payable to: CARDINAL GIBBONS ASSEMBLY, C/O HOLY FAMILY CHURCH. 15 GENDER ROAD, NEWARK, DE, We will be collecting until the end of March and then we will send donated funds to the Marine Group in California. Thank You for your assistance. God Bless our Troops! 308-Holy Family Page Six
