3 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND YOUTH MINISTRY Mare Draper, DRE or by phone: RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SACRAMENTAL PREP Confirmation 2017 Covenant Mass and Session 3 will be held on Sunday, March 5 th beginning with Mass at 12Noon. All students, parents and sponsors are expected to attend this session. The Session will end at 3pm. Please remember your sponsor information and outstanding paperwork. Please make sure you complete Module 3 and 4 by the time you attend the Session! First Eucharist 2017 Retreat with parents and students will be held on March 25 th Stay tuned for additional information coming soon! YOUTH MINISTRY *TWEENs! Our next gathering will be Thursday, March 9th from 6 until 7:30pm for students in 5/6 th grade. Friends are welcome!! Sunday Nite Lites will gather on Sunday, March 5 th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Youth Room! Open to all high school students and their friends! FISH FRYS ARE BACK! Help is needed to serve the parish at the annual Fish Frys. Please register on-line for dates and times available. All-Points Bulletin: VBS Set Design is collecting toilet paper and paper towel cardboard rolls and tin 1lb/2lb coffee tins! Please start saving these items. We are collecting them starting May 1 st!! Thank you! ADULT FORMATION Tour of the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, DC: March 15, 2017 There are a few spots left for Tour of the National Shrine in Washington, DC. Please contact Rita at rgarland@holyfamilynewark.org to reserve your spot! Cost: $50 per person to cover costs of transportation, snacks, and dinner in the Tidewater Grill in Havre de Grace. Please bring a bag lunch (or cash) that will be eaten/purchased at the Shrine. Christ the Teacher Blue Ribbon Casino Night & Auction - April 1st At Christ the Teacher Catholic School, 2451 Frazer Road, Newark, DE 19702, 6:30-10:30 p.m. Tuition Raffle tickets available (winners receive tuition vouchers to any Catholic elementary or high school). Proceeds from this exciting fundraiser will go toward the construction of a new gymnasium and preschool building. Tickets/donations/ sponsorships available until March 20. These opening words of the Via Crucis welcome all to worship at this 57-year Lenten tradition. The Via Crucis is open to the public, and is presented every Friday night in Lent from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9 th & DuPont Streets, Wilmington, DE, A cast of 125 youth from age 3 to college age students re-enact the last days of Jesus and his crucifixion on Good Friday in the style of the medieval Miracle Play. Groups of 10 or more can reserve seating by calling SISTER WALK 5K. Mount Aviat s 7 th Annual 5K and Sister Walk.
