2 Weekly Bulletin Announcements Please insert the appropriate weekly bulletin announcement for the four weekends of November: November 4, st Sunday in Ordinary Time Heartfelt Stewardship And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices. (MARK 12:33) Of all the gifts that God gives His Stewards, the one He wants the most is our heart. He wants us to share out of love, not out of obligation. Using our talent in parish ministry and contributing money to support our parish mission is important, but it s more important to spend time in prayer with God daily and discern how He is calling us to be generous with all of our gifts. Not just the visible ones, but the invisible ones like love, mercy and forgiveness. November 11, nd Sunday in Ordinary Time First Fruit Stewardship I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they all contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, her whole living. (MARK 12:43-44) Jesus gets right to the point Christian Stewards are all called to give money to support the mission of the Church, regardless of our circumstance. No gift is too small or insignificant! Giving money to support the mission of our local parish is a matter of our faith, just like praying and participating in parish ministries. When you make a financial offering, is it from your first fruits or from what is left over? November 18, rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Stewardship Accomplishments And then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. (MARK 13:26) We will all have that day when we are standing before God and our life is played out like a movie. When this happens and God asks each of us, What Stewardship have you accomplished with the gifts that I have given you? How will you respond?
3 November 25, 2018 Feast of Christ the King Stewardship Eternal Jesus answered, My kingdom does not belong to this world. (JOHN 18:36) How often do we give up on Stewardship, putting all our time and energy into building a kingdom here on earth, forgetting that life here is short? The real kingdom is in the next life. Yet, how much time and energy do we invest in working for that eternal kingdom?
4 Weekly Prayer of the Faithful Petitions November 4, 2018 That we as Christian Stewards are generous with our visible gifts of charitable works and generous giving, but that we are more generous with our invisible gifts of love, mercy and forgiveness. Let us pray to the Lord. November 11, 2018 That when we as Christian Stewards give our financial support to our parish, we give from our first fruits and not what from what is left over. Let us pray to the Lord November 18, 2018 That we as Christian Stewards continue to develop and nurture our gifts and give back with increase. Let us pray to the Lord November 25, 2018 That we as Christian Stewards help build God s kingdom on earth, but also invest our gifts in God s eternal kingdom. Let us pray to the Lord.
5 TEENS and YOUNG ADULTS Sunday 4 th November Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time That the Teens and Young Adults of our parish and the wider community may know God s presence in all they do. Let us pray to the Lord. Sunday 11 th November Thirty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (Veterans Day) That our Teens and Young Adults may appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of those who have given their lives in defense of their country. Let us pray to the Lord. Sunday 18 th November Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time For Teens and Young Adults who are lost and are searching for meaning in their lives. Let us pray to the Lord. Sunday 25 th November Christ the King That Teens and Young Adults may continue to be inspired in faith and hear Jesus voice in their heart to be generous in charity and love of neighbor. Let us pray to the Lord.
