2 Page 2 From the Pastor I enjoyed receiving the great news last Wednesday evening of a couple of our students praying to receive the Lord as their Savior during our Youth Service! They are making arrangements now with their families for baptism! It was a blessing to see Manuel and Vanessa Flores follow the Lord in baptism this past Sunday, too. The Lord is bringing new families to our church almost weekly now. Most are coming as a result of friends, family, or coworkers inviting them to come along with them. Each one of us should take a look around us and ask God who He would have us invite? We have steadily moved through the process of calling a man to come as our Minister of Children & Young Adults. We approved the position, created a job description, and have now formed our search committee. Please remember to pray for the members of this committee as they prayerfully search for the one God is calling to IBC. The members of the search committee are Will Barnes, Mark Crisp, Lee Ann Cauley, Amy Finch, Debby Martin, Sandra Slate, and Pete Smith. The alternates for the committee are Scott Farris and Thomas Ogilvy. There are a lot of events coming at us rather quickly. Helping Hands is a great way to be involved in some good old fashioned work. Will you make yourself available to help some of our own people and a family in our community on April 11? If you are interested in missions this summer, we have two opportunities. Our Love Week will be June 7-12 this year. For a small registration fee of $40, you can go on a mission trip here in San Angelo and sleep in your own bed. If you are a little more adventurous, a team will be headed to Pamona, Belize, July The all-inclusive cost is $1,700. Please contact the church office as soon as possible if you are interested in the Belize trip. Of course we are staffing our Vacation Bible School right now, too!
