2 Page 2 From the Pastor I greatly enjoyed our time at Future Focus. It was good for the church family to have a responsible time of sharing ideas and responsibilities. As IBC moves forward, we must embrace what God would have us do. Our church mission statement is: A great commitment to the great commandment and to the great commission will build a great church. Now just because we have that catchy slogan is not enough. We know we must be committed to sharing the gospel and training believers. As a result of our meeting together, our church is praying for God to help us understand how we can accomplish our mission. Pray for His direction in how we finish well. Can God use 2 Bible Studies and 2 Worship services to help us in our commitment? Does IBC need to build a building to help us in our commitment? Can we reach our community and have room for new people if we go back to 1 Bible Study and 1 Worship service with no new spaces created? Most of all, we must pray not my will or preferences but God s will and His preference! Many of you have encouraged me by saying, It s growing pains, pastor. I believe the growing pains aren t all based on new people and new classes, but a growth that is happening within each one of us. For that I am thankful! Please pray! 3 Page 3 Prayer Requests: Sympathy to Del Hartin - in the loss of Ladene Fred Buck - in Community 308 with swollen leg even after angioplasty to open up blood vessels; possible infection in the bones of his foot; facing foot amputation Nancy Vincent - recovering at home after hospital stay; wearing a heart monitor Mary Bailey - sees Dr. tomorrow for thyroid; also still having hip pain Vicki Bledsoe - in St. John s rehab 303 after stroke on Friday Ramona Haynie - heart doctor approved spinal fusion scheduled for March 27 th Joe Hodges - last week had flu; now has pneumonia Willie Gonzales - (husband of former IBC secretary, Maggie) still in ICU after a mild heart attack; will receive a blood transfusion today and possibly move to regular room Noel Evans - continuing dialysis 3 times a week; in need of a new doctor as his has moved and closed his office here Terry Moynihan - doing physical therapy 3x a week Michelle Trubenstien - (daughter-in-law of Alberta) possible heart attack; stress test today Prayer Requests Con t: Jim Magee - had surgery on foot & ankle; have had to reconstruct ankle and put rod through bottom of foot to ankle J.T.
