2 Page 2 From the Pastor Most people are great at beginning something. We set a high bar for our attitudes as we journey through life. For the past five weeks, we have studied and hopefully sought God s guidance in changing our attitudes. What do we do when the pressure is on? All kinds of people get up in the morning, put on their work clothes, and start the race of life for that day. Just as a runner completes mile after mile and the muscles begin to fatigue, the race is more of a struggle. As our race of life keeps coming at us, mile after mile, and when fatigue, or discouragement sets in, what will our attitude be? Will we point a finger and begin to complain or criticize? What will we do when the cash flow seems to only go in one direction out? How will we respond when God asks us to do something that we find completely unreasonable? When we re under pressure, Godly attitudes don t come easily. The truth is, no one can consistently live like that. God never expected us to be able to constantly be thankful, content, loving, faithful, and under submission in our own power. He knows that the Christian life is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to help you receive His guidance in life s difficult times and help us to be submissive in the best of times, too. This week we will hear from our Belize Mission Team and finish our series on Attitudes. Then in the evening, we will meet at Unidad Park on College Hills for outreach and fellowship.
