2 Page 2 From the Pastor I need to send out some Thank You messages this week. First, allow me to thank all of you who came to church this past Sunday. It is exciting to hear there was quite a crowd the week following Easter! Secondly, a big thanks to Josh for filling the pulpit in my absence. Thirdly, thank you to our church family for allowing us a Sunday morning to attend the dedication service of our granddaughter, Paislee. It has been 18 years since I was on the opposite side of a baby dedication! Finally, allow me to give a big thank you to the nearly 30 people who took part in our Helping Hands on Saturday. A lot of work went into 5 or 6 homes that would not have been accomplished without you. Speaking of child dedication; if you would like to participate in our Child Dedication time on Mother s Day, please call the church office and let us know you are coming. Some parents may be new to our church, or your child is a little older and you would like to participate. We will spend some time in that morning service acknowledging that our children are a heritage from the Lord and will pray together to be the parents God has called us to be. We will also publicly pray for the spiritual growth of our children as they mature physically. Watch for news of meetings for our Vacation Bible School and Love Week. We are building toward having a great Summer! Stay informed and involved because the Lord is doing great things all around us! Blessings, Bro. 4 Page 4 Norman Settlemire - (Amy Finch s father) hospitalized with fluid on lungs; chest tube has been inserted; on strong antibiotics for bad infection Rod Meister - recovering at home after hospital stay for low white blood cell count Dewey & Vicky Pierce - Vicky is on hospice Andy & Lee Andrae - randy is in Shannon 463; will move to VA hospital in Big Spring and will be on hospice Olga Cuellar - (Pastor Robert Cuellar s wife) had another stroke last Friday; at home Gerald Crisp - was released Tuesday from hospital after determining that he did have a stroke; more tests next week Craig Partusch - returned to San Angelo; may do treatments here Donna Shearman - recovering at home after total knee replacement Walter Rauch - 2nd bout with shingles; very painful Donald Raley - (Peggy s son) has tumor in lung, spot on liver & cyst on kidney, waiting for treatment options Freda Upchurch - (Betty James sister) drainage tube replaced today; will have one kidney removed May 4 Charles Wearden - (John s dad) had triple bypass Friday, recovering at home Kamron Ogilvy - (17month old son Robert & Melissa) will have surgery next Wednesday for hypospadias Stephanie - (friend of Sue Harriss) in critical condition Robert Chaney - (LV coach) has been diagnosed with sepsis, on antibiotics, at home Dwayne Hinson - (J.T. & Shirley s son) has atrial fibrillation; if medication doesn t work may have to see specialist Rad Richardson - (Pastor Tommy s dad) had a stroke on Sunday, no feeling in right arm and right side of face; at home Cheyanne Fee - (Josh s 16yr. old niece) has colitis and Crohn s disease Matt Salicas - (friend of Richardson s) had cyst removed & they knicked ureter line; still not fixed, as of now has a drainage tube IBC Continue to Remember: All our national leaders and military personnel, Reagan Elementary, Jim Eaton, Jaci Mitchell, Pauline Kolster, Norman Settlemire, Jack Rankin, LeAnn Sweeny, Jean Mills, Waldine Morris, Sheri Young, Bob Knox, Dale Scott Harlan & Hazel McWilliams and DeeAnna Thompson
