2 Page 2 From the Pastor We cannot imitate someone without spending time in their presence. When Jesus chose the twelve disciples, he appointed them first and foremost to be with Him (Mark 3:14). The task of a disciple is to become like their teacher, to do what they do. Jesus told His disciples, Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father (John 14:12). What is fascinating in the book of Acts is that after Jesus has ascended into Heaven and commissioned the disciples to go in His name, the disciples are in fact doing the works of Jesus and healing the sick, and it says: NO IBC GOLF Monday, July 4 We will resume July 11 Quicksand Golf Course Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus (Acts 4:13).
