We were born sinful and separated from a holy God. This same holy God desires a relationship with us, but our sin stands in the way.

It doesn t matter if we can point to grand achievements in life. It doesn t even matter if our name is on a church membership role somewhere. We cannot work hard enough to earn salvation.

Oh, you may not call it to mind right away, but if you hear the first couple of words, you can finish it! for all have sinned This verse reminds us that we all have a problem that must be addressed. We were born sinful and separated from a holy God. This same holy God desires a relationship with us, but our sin stands in the way. It robs us from having fellowship with Him and prevents us from ever living up to God s standard. On our own, we will always fall short of the mark. It doesn t matter how good we are. It doesn t matter if we can point to grand achievements in life. It doesn t even matter if our name is on a church membership role somewhere. We cannot work hard enough to earn salvation. Fellowship with our Heavenly Father is only possible through a relationship with His Son, Jesus. He gives the gift of salvation when we place our faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 only gives half the story if when we have a relationship with Jesus. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. Being justified is like saying Just if I d never sinned before. This can only come by His grace! Blessed to be your pastor, Bro.
