Patrick Hipwell Dear Parishioners and Friends, This week, work will begin on installing a quarry tile floor in the center cross aisle of church s nave. The quarry tile is the same make and design as the main center and side aisles, installed in the original church construction in the late 1930s. As you may recall, several years ago pews were removed in the center of the church to create an accessible aisle for those with mobility needs. With the increased traffic on that cross aisle, the underlying hardwood never meant to serve as an aisle walking surface has become very worn and damaged. A generous donor has undertaken all costs associated with replacing the damaged wood flooring and installing quarry tile, making the cross aisle consistent in design, appearance and durability with the other church aisles. A rendering of the design is included below. During the next two weeks, Communion distribution at all masses will be altered somewhat. Please follow the directions given prior to Communion at each Mass. It is also possible that daily Masses will be held in Steiner Hall intermittently as well. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time. I know the end result will be a beautiful, durable floor surface, enhancing the quiet elegance as well as the serviceability of our parish church. Christ s blessings on your week. Fr. Patrick School Kindergarten Family Tours This is an exciting time as we begin the process of welcoming new Kindergarten families to Nativity School through formal tours. We will be doing individual tours for interested families to introduce them to the life at Nativity School, which provides an opportunity for parents to see the learning process grounded in our Catholic faith. We would love to partner with you as your child embarks on this educational journey. If you would like to schedule a tour, please call the school office and speak to Mary Jo at (651) We look forward to meeting you! - Kate Wollan, Principal and Sandy Kane, Assistant Principal
