Men s Club Raffle The Annual Men s Club Raffle is here, and this year we have made an exciting change! In addition to monthly prizes of $300, $200, and $100 from May through September, we have amped up the raffle with Grand Prizes in October of $1000, $500, and $300! All proceeds from the raffle go to help fund the school, the NELC, and other programs benefiting the children of Nativity Parish. Archdiocese 24 Hours for the Lord - March From noon on Friday, March 24 to noon on Saturday, March 25, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis will be joining Catholics around the world to celebrate God s mercy. At the Cathedral of Saint Paul, reconciliation will be offered around-the-clock for the faithful. There will also be perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Visit for more information. NCCW Rosary Making - Monday, March 13, 6-7:30pm NCCW is again providing an opportunity for Lenten rosary making in Steiner Hall on Mondays in Lent through April 3. Supplies will be provided and helpers available to teach newcomers. All rosaries are then sent to missions. Children under 12 are welcome with an adult. Call the parish office at (651) to register. Family Service Morning - Saturday, March 25, 10-11:30am Nativity families of all ages are invited to volunteer at the Family Service Morning this Saturday in the school cafeteria. This is an opportunity for us to serve the less fortunate in our community by completing service projects together. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Our service stations will be led by volunteers from the NCCW, Nativity Girl and Boy Scout Troops, the Social Justice Club, and Student Council. Monthly Meeting - Monday, February 27, 7pm NCCW monthly meeting has been moved from Monday, March 20 to March 27 at 7pm in Steiner Hall Spirit of Mary Award - Nominations due April 19 The Nativity Council of Catholic Women will again present our Spirit of Mary Award at the Madonna Dinner on Wednesday, May 3. Each year the NCCW recognizes an outstanding young woman who has demonstrated acts of faith, humility, generosity, and kindness through her school, parish, and community involvement. Female parishioners who are currently seniors in high school may apply or may be nominated. The award is a cash prize of $500, with $100 designated to the recipient s charity of choice and the remaining $400 for her ongoing educational pursuits. Nominations are due by Wednesday, April 19, and forms are available in the back of the church, at the School and parish offices, and at NativityWomen.org. Nativity Catholic Kids Camp - June Nativity will again be sponsoring Catholic Kids Camp this summer (Monday, June 19 through Friday, June 23): Tracking Mary: Mysteries and Messages. Children will track Mary all over the world, with mysteries and messages revealed at each stop as we discover how Mary brings us closer to Jesus through the power of the Rosary. 4 2nd Collection Global Solidarity Sunday Next weekend is Global Solidarity Sunday in our archdiocese. The theme is I was blind and now I see. This is a unique opportunity to share the light of the Lord in solidarity with your brothers and sisters overseas. Nativity 4th Grade Girl Scouts will be distributing grocery bags this weekend and collecting them next weekend at any of the church entries. We will also be collecting during the Family Service Morning on Saturday. Cash and other monetary donations can be placed in the collection baskets (in an envelope marked food shelf ). Checks can be payable to Keystone, with food shelf on the memo line. 100% of your donations goes towards hunger relief! Today, 1 in 10 Minnesota families experiences food insecurity. 5 Young Adults Urban Catholic Lord s Day - Sunday, March 26, 4-7 For the Christian, it s pray or die. As in, there simply is no Christian life without prayer. Ever wonder why? Or what a *prayer life* should look like? Fr. Byron tackles these questions and more next Sunday in part three of his five-part series, A Field Guide for Millennial Catholics. And this month only, we ll be heading over to the brand new Bottle Rocket on St. Clair for a social hour after mass, and new attendees get a free drink on Urban Catholic. #jointhemovement Nativity School School Play - March 26, 31; April 1-2 All are invited to this year s 7th and 8th grade production of Disney s Lion King, Jr. Under the direction of Suzanne Graff Gomes, Jay Korte, and Michael Loonan, the students have worked hard and are eager for you to enjoy this spectacular show with them.
