Sacraments Confessions - English - Most Saturdays after the 9:00am Mass; every Saturday 4:00pm to 5:00pm, or by appointment. Confessions - Spanish - Wednesday 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Sunday 12:00 noon-1:00pm. Anointing of the Sick-Communal anointing during the First Saturday 9:00am Mass. Please contact the parish office at the onset of serious illness and for individual requests for the sacrament. Baptism (Infant) - Preparation classes offered monthly except July and December. 4 Religious Education/Faith Formation We are very busy in the Religious Education office these days, even if classes are not in session. Miss Isabel and I are cleaning closets and reorganizing crafts, looking for new crafts and songs for next year. I think that our main teachers are in place. If you do not plan to return, please call the office and let us know. We are still looking for support staff to head prayers, be part of the prayer team, crafts, songs, and special one-on-one support for our children who need it. If anyone has a gift in these areas, please call the parish office and leave your name and number and Miss Isabel and I will return your call. I can also be reached at holli@stphil.com Our first summer teacher s meeting is June 26 th at 6:30 pm. We will be meeting in groups according to grade level to plan activities. Please think about things that can be done together to promote community between the different classes. Your input is vital. Please come with ideas. As of this writing we have 96 students registered for the year. Most of these students will be receiving sacraments and full initiation into the Catholic Church at Easter. 06/04/17 Page 4 Do you feel that you are a little behind in your understanding of the Catholic Church? Do you want to know about the popes? What does a sacrament do for you? Would you like to discuss your faith journey with others who are traveling the same journey as you are? Why is it that Catholics do the things that they do? Come and walk with us as we all journey toward a deeper relationship with God. If you have someone in your life that is thinking about becoming Catholic, come and join with us as we learn how to be a witness to how Jesus works in our lives. Classes will begin in the fall but registration forms are available in the parish office now. If you would like one, please stop by. Legion of Mary Become a child of Mary. Battle the empire of unbelief with humble soldiering on behalf of Jesus and Mary. The Legion of Mary consoles the sick and afflicted, witnesses on doorsteps and accompanies the Woman as she crushes the head of the serpent (all resistance to God). Try us for a week or Month! Contact Delores Rybacki at for more information. PRE-BAPTISM CLASSES Holy Mother Church strongly encourages parents to have their babies baptized within the first few weeks of life. The baptism preparation classes are normally offered the 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Upper Conference Room in the parish office. The next classes for June will be on the 14th and 21st. Parents and godparents are required to attend.
