Please pick up a copy of our newsletter, The Connection, which tells of our current activities. If you are interested in learning more about our ministry, please speak with the pastor after worship. You are invited to sign the Friendship Pads. Visitors with children: We welcome you to worship and are always glad for your children to be with us! Should you desire, nursery (0 17 months) and toddler (18 months 3 years) rooms are available for our youngest children each Sunday morning on the lower level of our sanctuary building. Following the Children s Sermon, preschool children (4 to 5 year olds who have not entered kindergarten) are invited to attend PRESCHOOL CHURCH in the Apple Room of the Educational Building. They may be picked up there after worship. Children s worship bulletins are available from the ushers. NURSERY & TODDLER PROCEDURES: Please be certain you have completed the parental questionnaire and sign-in sheet when you drop off your little one. This information will be on a table outside the nursery. We ask that you include your cell phone number in case you may be needed during the church service (please place your phone on vibrate).

4 AUDIO & VISUAL ENHANCEMENTS: Please find located in the narthex audio and visual devices for the congregation and visitors to use. If you are in need of one of the devices, please speak to one of our ushers or greeters and they will gladly assist you. The church office will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Jessica and Missie will be on vacation July 5 7. Thank you to Amy Briley for volunteering during their absences. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Volunteers and children who attended VBS may pick up their t-shirts in the church office if they have not yet done so. SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE: Join us for an Intergenerational Sunday School Class, along with Adult SS, each Sunday morning at 9:00am and worship at 10:00am. The theme for the Intergenerational Sunday School Class is For Everything There is a Season. We will study a different season or special day of the church s liturgical calendar each Sunday morning. We will look forward to seeing you here! Nursery and Toddler Care will be provided! BUILDING FUND CAMPAIGN UPDATE: The Building Fund Campaign Committee would like to thank all who have turned in pledge cards to date. Forty pledges have been received totaling $244, If you haven t already donated please prayfully consider making a pledge. The Building Fund Committee has extended Phase II of the Building Fund Campaign to July 31, STEWARDSHIP A FRIENDLY REMINDER: Many of our families travel during the summer (we pray for safe travels) and will likely miss some regular worship services. However, the church s expenses are ongoing, so please remember to continue your faithful financial support during this time. FOOD PANTRY: This month we are asking for donations of peanut butter & jelly and any other food items to fill the bags for hungry people who come to the door of the church. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. YOUTH: Parents and youth, please take time to read the information packet for the summer youth conferences which has been mailed to you. Be sure to fill out the covenant and medical insurance form completely and return it to Jessica Varney before departure. 5 During July 10, 2011 worship there will be a commissioning of all youth and adults attending conferences at Montreat, Presbyterian College, and Camp Buc. PPC CHOIR: The Adult Choir is taking a summer hiatus from regular rehearsal time, but is still leading worship during the summer months. If you would like to join in, please contact Maria Kithcart. In addition, special music is being provided by various church musicians during the months of June, July, and August. If you would like to share your special talents during worship, please contact Maria Kithcart regarding your availability.
