Infant Baptism: Celebrated at HSP on first and third Sundays at 2:00 p.m.; or at HSP and SNP, on a date and time agreed upon with the Priest. A Baptismal Seminar is required. Adult Initiation: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process sees to the needs of those who are inquiring about the faith of Catholics. At a convenient time, to be determined. Marriage: Consultation with the Pastor at least six months in advance is required. An initial interview must be scheduled, at which time further information will be provided. Anointing of the Sick / Communion Calls: For any parishioner at anytime, as long as the priest is available. You are encouraged to see the priest after Mass, but visits to hospitals and homes also can be made. Please anticipate; call in advance if you know you are going into the hospital in the near future, for surgery, etc. Confirmation: For adults (over 18) who have not been confirmed.

JIM S CORNER On June 8 th the final proposed changes, suggestions and recommendations for our parish grouping #102 were submitted. This is the grouping that includes All Saints, Etna; St. Bonaventure, Glenshaw; Holy Spirit, Millvale; St. Mary of the Assumption, Glenshaw; St. Nicholas, Millvale/ North Side; St. Ursula, Allison Park. Feedback on this new grouping was solicited from parishioners who engaged in the town meetings, survey forms and other gatherings. Now that these forms have been submitted, the work of the On Mission Commission will begin its task of further prayer and study over the summer months in order to make its final recommendations to Bishop Zubik later this year. The Bishop has indicated that he will make his final decision by March or April of Two optional groupings have surfaced as a result of the feedback. There is optional grouping #102A which includes FOUR parishes All Saints, St. Bonaventure, Holy Spirit and St. Nicholas. Another optional group #122A has also been submitted for consideration. This also includes FOUR parishes St. Aloysius, Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas and St. Sebastian. The On Mission Commission will have the task to determine the grouping of parishes including the optional groupings. In other words, is this the right relationship of parishes to create a new parish? If there appears to be a strong sentiment that one of the optional groupings is better than what was proposed at the district meetings, then one of these optional groupings will be given every consideration. Also, on these optional groupings, the number of campuses or clergy will not be considered at this time. The parish consultation process is completed. The On Mission process now moves to the diocesan level with the work of the On Mission Commission. I want to thank so many of you who were willing to participate in this process to date. STAINED GLASS WINDOW RESTORATION Thanks again to all who have donated to the ongoing effort of restoring the stained glass windows in Holy Spirit Church. NICHOLAS From now through December 31 st, all weekend Masses at Holy Spirit have scheduled intentions. We have a limited number of weekdays Masses available at Holy Spirit. There are no more Mass intentions available at St. Nicholas Parish for the rest of this year. We will NOT be taking Mass Intentions for 2018 until we have been instructed by the diocese as to how they are to be handled as we move forward. Remember that in April of 2018, the bishop will announce the new parish groupings which will have an impact not only on Mass intentions but the number of Masses scheduled. HOLY SPIRIT MISSION STATEMENT We the parishioners of Holy Spirit Parish are empowered by the presence of the Father, redeemed by the Son, and led by the Holy Spirit. Filled with the Spirit, we as Catholics, communally and individually, worship, minister, evangelize, catechize, and serve the needs of others. Like the disciples at Pentecost, we grow daily in the Holy Spirit. We wait in joyful expectation for the coming of our Lord as King. But what we are told to expect and rejoice over is a meek and humble king, riding on an ass. Not horses or chariots of the great and mighty, but a humble beast carries the Ruler whose dominion stretches "from the River to the ends of the earth" (Zechariah 9:10). 5 ON MISSION: PARISH GROUPINGS When the decisions of the On Mission for The Church Alive! initiative are announced by Bishop Zubik in the Spring of 2018, the final Parish Groupings will be a part of that announcement. A Parish Grouping is a configuration of parishes that will work together during the years that follow to form a new parish, a new community of faith. The Parish Groupings were created based upon input from clergy and parishioners, as well as demographic, financial and other data. The Parish Groupings that are proposed, together with the final feedback from parishes, are now being studied by the On Mission Commission, who will make their recommendations to Bishop Zubik later this year. As a health center that operates on a Volunteer-in-Medicine model, they rely heavily upon the services of active and retired doctors, dentists, specialists, nurses, and administrative support. CCFHCC is currently seeking volunteer doctors, CRNPs, RNs, dentists, oral surgeons, dental hygienists, and dental assistants to provide services to clients who, without their help, would go without care. They offer flexible schedules (minimum of three hours a month), FTCA liability coverage and free parking.
