Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children Come, learn about the Catholic Faith. You are invited to come and attend RCIA sessions to hear the teachings of the Catholic Faith. For those who choose to do so, this process leads to the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist in whatever combination your situation calls for. Come and explore the teachings of Pope Francis on the environment and begin a dialogue on how we are called to respond as Catholics. The course will begin on Wednesday, October 21 st, 7-830pm and run for four Wednesdays in St. Michael Hall. All are welcome! Lectio Divina for Women: Morning Group: Every other Friday, 10 am - 11 am Evening Group: Every other Wednesday, 7pm - 8:30pm All women of the parish are welcome to join a Lectio Divina prayer group. Groups meet alternate weeks, evenings or mornings. All sessions are held in the Gathering Room of the Church. We are reading: The Way of Serenity: Finding Peace and Happiness in the Serenity Prayer authored by Father Jonathan Morris. At this session we will discuss Part II: The Courage to Change the Tings I Can, Chapters Diocese of Richmond Conferences The Catholic Women s Conference: Women on the Way will be held at the Richmond Convention Center on Saturday, November 21. Guest Speakers are Pat Gohn and Rachel Sherburne. Registration is 8-9 am and the conference concludes with a Vigil Mass for Sunday at 3:15 pm. Youth Ministry Middle School Faith Formation The next Junior Youth Group gathering (after this weekend) will be Sunday, November 1, during the breakout session of Gathered By Grace. All youth in middle school are invited to attend! Senior Youth Group The next Senior Youth Group meeting (after this weekend) will be on Sunday, November 1, in St. Michael Hall. SYG will meet following the 5:00pm Mass and will wrap up at 8:00pm. All youth in high school are invited to attend! God Rocks -- High School Retreat God Rocks is an annual retreat for the high schoolers of OLMC. It will be a great chance to grow closer to God, make strong friendships, and have a lot of fun. Kingdom Kids Nursery (1-3 yrs) meets for the duration of Mass, every Sunday. Kingdom Kids Pre-K/Kindergarten (4 & 5yrs olds) meets for the duration of the Mass. (Starts again in January) Kingdom Kids Worship (1 st 5 th grades) Children process out at Mass & return before the Eucharist. Kingdom Kids Worship meets the first, second and third Sundays most months. Registration is free and easy using KidCheck. Sacraments Confirmation Preparation The next meeting for teens preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring will be held in St. Michael Hall next Sunday, October 25, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Join us right after the 5pm Mass for dinner and fellowship from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. The deadline for registering for Confirmation is 5pm, Monday, October 19.
