Our next Lent Service is Wednesday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. Pastor Loney will be our guest Pastor. The Theme is The King Condemned. LUTHERAN HIGH BIBLE CLASS: Pastor Bergelin leads a Sr. Bible class at Lutheran High School the third Tuesday of the month. The next Bible Class is Tuesday, March 18 and begins with a breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The Bible class will follow, ending at 10:00 a.m. JR. HIGH LOCK IN: The Jr. High Lock in will be Friday, April 4th beginning at 7:00 p.m. and will go through Saturday morning, April 5th at 7:00 a.m. As in the past, the Youth Ministry Team from Concordia University Wisconsin will be here to help us. All of the 6th-8th graders need to be in attendance. We will also need chaperones to attend as well. There is a chaperone signup sheet on the table in the narthex. SPAGHETTI SUPPER: Trinity s Annual Spaghetti Supper will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 3:30-7:00 p.m. Tickets are in your mailboxes. We are asking each family to sell 4 adult and 2 children tickets. Work shifts will be on Saturday, April 5 and on Sunday, April 6. Sign-up sheets are on the table in the narthex. As in past years we are asking for donations of baked goods. Please bring your baked goods in disposable containers. THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS: Don t forget to direct your Thrivent Choice Dollars. Thrivent choice Dollars grant funds can help support organizations you care about. Don t let your designated choice dollars expire. 4 LUTHERAN HIGH DINNER AUCTION: The Lutheran High School Dinner Auction will be held Saturday, April 12. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with a silent auction. There is a Dinner Buffet at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar. The cost is $68.00/person. The live auction begins at 8:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending, we will have a table so Trinity Members can sit together. Please sign up by calling or ing the Trinity Church office. Checks may be made payable to Lutheran High School. Please put your checks in Toni Post s (Secretary) mailbox. The registration and checks will be sent as a group to Lutheran High School. For a full list of auction items, please go to WANTED: We are looking for individuals, who are high school age or older, that would be interested in playing hand chimes occasionally during church services. NO experience or ability to read music required. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex. If you have any questions, please call Dick or Lee Schoessow at WASHINGTON ISLAND GETAWAY: On Friday, July 25 th we will be taking a Discovery Coach Bus to Door County and then taking the ferry to Washington Island. While we are at Washington Island we will be taking the Cherry Train Tour of the Island which will include stops at the Stave Church, School House Beach and the historic Indian Museum. A soup and sandwich lunch with cherry pie is included. Later in the afternoon, we will return to the mainland and make our way to the Seaquist Orchards Market and Door Peninsula Winery. The cost is $80.00/person which includes the Motorcoach Transportation, Ferry Crossing, Guided Cherry Train Tour, all attractions, lunch and gratuities. The bus will leave Trinity at 7:00 a.m. and return to Trinity at 8:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex. PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE: Trinity s Preschool Open House is March 24 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend. This is a perfect opportunity to meet our Preschool teacher, Marilyn Heinemann, and see the classroom. Enrollment is now being taken for our 3 and 4 year old Preschool for the school year. There are brochures on the table in the narthex as well as on our website. Children must be 3 by September 1, Trinity preschool is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Extended care is also offered. Our preschool is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. Our staff meets the requirements of the State for Early Childhood Education. The Curriculum consists of Bible stories, creative art, music and rhythm, language development, reading, writing, and number readiness skill. The Preschool children will be encouraged to grow spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually, develop self-confidence and a positive self-image through acceptance, encouragement and praise, relate to and cooperate with other children and adults, develop an awareness of God and Christian attitudes toward one another and explore their environment by using their senses.
