Since we are gathered to hear God s Word, call upon Him in prayer and praise, and receive the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in the fellowship of this altar, let us first consider our unworthiness and confess before God and one another that we have sinned in thought, word, and deed, and that we cannot free ourselves from our sinful condition. 5 HOLY GOSPEL : John 20:19-31 The Holy Gospel according to St. John the 20th chapter beginning at verse 19. Glory be to Thee, O Lord 19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, Peace be with you. 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw Lord. 21 Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you. 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld. 24 Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe. 26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you. 27 Then he said to Thomas, Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe. 28 Thomas answered him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. 30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. 6 PREFACE THE COMMUNION LITURGY The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God It is right to give Him thanks and praise. It is truly good, right, and salutary that we should at all times and in all places give thanks to You, O Lord, holy Father, almighty and everlasting God, for the countless blessings You so freely bestow on us and all creation. Above all, we give thanks for Your boundless love shown to us when You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into our flesh and laid on Him our sin, giving Him into death that we might not die eternally. Because He is now risen from the dead and lives and reigns to all eternity, all who believe in Him will overcome sin and death and will rise again to new life. In Your righteous judgment You condemned the sin of Adam and Eve, who ate the forbidden fruit, and You justly barred them and all their children from the tree of life. Yet, in Your great mercy, You promised salvation by a second Adam, Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, and made His cross a life-giving tree for all who trust in Him. We give You thanks for the redemption You have prepared for us through Jesus Christ. Grant us Your Holy Spirit that we may faithfully eat and drink of the fruits of His cross and receive the blessings of forgiveness, life and salvation that come to us in His body and blood. 6

All Families are asked to sell 4 adult and 2 children tickets and bring cookies or bars. Ticket prices are $8.00 ages 13 and up and $5.00 ages and under are free. 10 LUTHERAN HIGH AUCTION LHS Crusade for Bids Dinner Auction, April 15&16. Friday night Preview Night is for everyone! And it s free! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. so you can preview all the fabulous items in the silent auction, live auction, and the Neat Repeats Pot of Gold room. There will be entertainment by the Good Hope Road Praise Band from St. Paul Lutheran, Sheboygan Falls, during the entire evening, cash bar, booklet pick-up, and Friday night only opportunities. Miss Wisconsin USA will be on hand to greet guests and sign photos! Bring your children and grandchildren to meet our own alumnae, Kate Redeker, Miss Wisconsin USA, from LHS class of And the auction puppy will be sniffing around too! Join us from 5:30 8 p.m., it s free. Reservations are available for the Saturday night auction and dinner. Dinner prices are $67 per person until April 5, $80 per person after April 5. Bid on almost 500 packages, everything from chocolate to Packer tickets! This 36th annual fundraiser has been very blessed by our families and friends, businesses in the area, volunteers, and our Lord, and it is an event that you should not miss. Our next voters meeting will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 7:30pm. The quilts displayed in the narthex are made by our very own quilters. If you are interested in purchasing any of the quilts, please contact the church office or speak to a quilter. The Quilting Group meets every Monday from 1-4pm. Christian Women s Fellowship Eileen Perronne will give a presentation on flower arranging (at the beginning) of our Christian Women s Fellowship Meeting on April 11. Everyone is invited to attend. Scrip cards are a perfect way to pay for all your spring cleaning and outdoor needs. Purchase your scrip cards at Trinity and use those cards to pay for your purchases. Scrip cards are sold before and after our worship services in the narthex. Scrip profits have been used to purchase many items here at Trinity. The confirmation banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:00pm. Invitations were mailed to the Confirmands Family and to their secret friends. Please RSVP by Friday, April 29th with the number of people that will be attending. Confirmation examination and Confirmation will be on Sunday May 15th at the 10:30am Worship Service. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent.
