HYMN: Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church In the name of God the Father who created us, in the name of God the Son who redeemed us, in the name of God the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us. In the name of the Triune God, the only true God, we begin our worship this day. To Him be all honor and glory now and forever. Our help is in the name of the Lord. Our God is a great God. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. With him nothing shall be impossible. With God all things are possible. But we by ourselves have fallen short, we have sinned, we do not deserve to be called God s children. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us kneel and confess our sins to God our Father. Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen. There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished? 5 And Jesus began to say to them, See that no one leads you astray. 6 Many will come in my name, saying, I am he! and they will lead many astray. 7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains. 9 But be on your guard. 6 Trinity Lutheran Church Messenger FOOD DRIVE HERE AT TRINITY Christian Women s Fellowship is organizing a food drive for St. Mark s Food Pantry in Sheboygan. The food drive will run from th-22nd. If you bring your non-perishable food items to our Worship Services on Sunday, th, you will be asked to bring your food to the altar during the worship service. All other dates you may bring to the altar before worship begins. THANKSGIVING WORSHIP SERVICES Our Thanksgiving worship services will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 6:30pm and on Thursday, November 22 at 9:30 am. THANK YOU Thank you to all the Volunteers that helped make 1300 pizzas. Our profit will be just over $4, Pictures of pizza making are on the narthex monitor. CHRISTMAS CAROLING We will be Christmas Caroling to the Shut ins on Saturday, December 1st at 12:15pm. We would LOVE to have you join us. We will have pizza and other refreshments in the fellowship hall when we return. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex. NOVEMBER SPECIAL OFFERING The special offering for November is Concordia University in Mequon, WI. Concordia is owned and operated by our LCMS and it provides a Christian education for students preparing for occupations in many walks of life. ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT Due to low participation, Advent by Candlelight has been cancelled for this year. CHILDREN S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM The Children s Christmas Program will be on Sunday, December 16th at 1:30pm. Rehearsal will be Saturday, December 15th at 10:00am. TRINITY MEMORIAL CARD If you or someone you know gives a memorial gift to Trinity in memory of a loved one, we now have memorial cards indicating your memorial was given to our church. The cards are located in the flyer rack in the narthex and are free of charge. IT S STEWARDSHIP TIME Each year we ask ALL MEMBERS OF TRINITY to attend a stewardship meeting that is led by Pastor Bergelin. This is a great time to learn all the organizations and activities our church has to offer, and the different ways you are able to get involved here at Trinity. This meeting takes approximately one hour. Please sign up on the reservation form in the narthex. The date remaining is Monday Nov. 26-6:30pm. SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CARDS Our Sunday school is selling beautiful Christmas cards at a GREAT price. Cards will be on the card table in the Narthex. Please put your payment in the money box that is provided. HANDS FOR HOPE Hands for Hope is meeting November 6:00pm to setup for Christmas and then going to eat at Log Cabin for supper. We will not meet in December. ELECTRONIC GIVING FORM If you would like to give your offering electronically or change your existing electronic offering, there are forms in the flyer rack located in the narthex. If you indicated on your stewardship form that you are interested in electronic giving a form has been put into your mailbox. FLOWERS The altar flowers are given from Mary Lou and Tom Neuman in honor their 44th wedding anniversary. God s richest blessings to Mary Lou and Tom. Happy Anniversary. The tall pedestal flowers are from Mom and Dad (Lloyd and Judy Luecke) in honor of their daughter Anne McCraws birthday. Happy birthday Anne. To God be the glory! 6

7 THINKING AHEAD TO THE CHRISTMAS SEASON Sheboygan County Health and Human Services has again asked Trinity to be involved with their 2018 Holiday Program. In previous years, our church has been one of their larger donators. As a caring congregation we should be willing to help those in need. We will again be collecting hygiene products and cleaning supplies. For Example.. Toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, hair products, deodorant, bath and body products, shavers, (don t forget the men), laundry detergent, cleaning products, paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, trash bag and lunch bags. We will be collecting the items on Nov.25 and Dec.2 and it will be picked up on the 3rd. There will be labeled boxes in the narthex. We will also be collecting baby items. For example.. Diapers (all sizes), wipes, powder, lotion, blankets, crib sheets, teething rings, bibs, hats, clothing, and sippy cups. We will be collecting the items on Dec.9 and Dec. 16th and will be picked up on the 17th. That will give the social workers time to get the items to their families before Christmas. Donations should not be wrapped. If you don t want to shop for these items, you can buy scrip cards- Walmart, Target, Kohl's, and gas cards to name a few.
