4 EPISTLE: Ephesians 4: Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ! 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Camp LuWiSoMo is owned by the District and offers family camping as well as specialty camps for all ages. A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEMETERY COMMITTEE A meeting was held on Saturday July 28 th, 2018 by Cemetery Board members Dale & Gary Hopf, Jan Grunewald, and Dick Horness. Also assisting was John Jacobchick of JLJ Services LLC., a cemetery management company. The church property to the north of the current cemetery was plotted out for future grave sites. Although work has begun in the new section, plots will not be sold until the older section plots are sold. Any questions regarding the new addition may be directed to the Cemetery Board. Respectfully, Richard R. Horness. FANTASY FOOTBALL Our church will once again have a fantasy football league or leagues. We would love for all you football fans to join us. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the narthex. OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAY AND BEST OF THE HOLY LAND Rev. Tim Fraker, husband of Darci Bergelin Fraker of Trinity Lutheran Church in Weatherford, Texas is taking a trip to the Holy Land and the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany, June of 2020, and has invited our congregation to join them. The first part of the trip is spent in the Holy Land where we will walk through the Garden of Gethsemane, sail on the Sea of Galilee, journey to Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and so much more. The last week of the trip we fly to Munich and are transferred to Alpine Village. We will tour many places, but the main attraction is the Passion play. The Passion Play is a reenactment of the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ and is performed every 10 years. Performers were born in Oberammergau or have lived there for at least 20 years. Over 2000 Oberammergau villagers will participate in the 2020 Passion Play. The trip is June 15-June 27, There are brochures located on the table in the narthex describing the entire trip.
