Are you PARISH OFFICES CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY The Mass for Labor Day will be at 10:00 A.M. Come and ask e Lord s blessing on your labor and oers who have employment. Add a special prayer for so many who don t have employment and have families, a mortgage due, etc. Their lives can be very frightening and unsure. Our summer office hours are over as of is coming Tuesday. We will return to our usual hours of 8:30 A.M. to Noon and 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.

5 L O O K I N G A H E A D FROM THE BLOG ABBEY ROADS Here's a ought... "Criticizing oers is a dangerous ing, not so much because you may make mistakes about em, but because you may be revealing e tru about yourself." Our parish feast day, e Solemnity of Saint Michael e Archangel, will be celebrated on e weekend of st nd October 1 and 2. The actual feast day is September 29, but because he is our patron, we can move e actual celebration. We have special news is year! We will be holding meetings after all e Masses at weekend in Balestra Hall. The Architects, e Project Team, people from our Historic Foundation will be ere to introduce to you Phase I of our building project and what e church and parish hall and grounds will look. We will have drawings and computer-generated pictures of what it will look like. We hope to be able to discuss e costs and how we can pay for em. It will take e help of all who can donate or be on one of a goodly number of Building Committees to make our dreams real. We will soon be asking for volunteers for ese groups. We mention is now so you can get ose dates on your calendar and can plan on attending. SEPTEMBER HOLY HOUR OF PRAYER AND ADORATION Please join us for monly hour of adoration and prayer is coming Wednesday, September 7, at 7:00 P.M. in our parish church. This hour is comprised of a multilingual Rosary, Shared and Quiet Prayer, Exposition of and Blessing wi e Blessed Sacrament. Consider taking advantage of is time between Sundays to develop your relationship wi our Lord and pray togeer wi some awfully wonderful people! We can use extra people to help serve food and drink for ose four gaerings. If you can help, please give Fr. Mayo or Jerri a telephone call. Thank you! You have most likely have received various mailings from e Archbishop wi regard to his Endowment Capital Campaign and our desire to be part of e ministries it will support we have e Newman ministry here and at will be funded from ose dollars. Fr. Mayo is getting near retirement and his future can be rosy or not depending upon e funds available for retired priests. Raer an run two campaigns one for e building project and one for e Endowment, we will be doing bo at once. You will hear more about is later. Some of you have given already and you certainly are welcome to do at. If you ve not, we ask you to wait until is Fall.
