Detail orientation and ability to manage time in order to meet required deadline Nonprofit bookkeeping experience a plus. This part time position (15 hours per week) processes payroll, creates financial transactions, generates reports, and reconciles accounts to ensure accuracy. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from source documents including cash receipts and supplier invoices. Data entry into a general ledger system is also a function of the job. This position will generate reports to be reviewed by the Treasurer, as well as other senior staff members. 5 Community Thanksgiving Service Troy First will host the Community Thanksgiving service this year on Sun, Nov 20 th at 7pm. Our Chancel Choir will be hosting a Community Choir. They will rehearse on Sun, Nov 13 at 2pm and Nov 20 at 6pm in the Sanctuary. Everyone who would like to sing is welcome. 10th Annual World Race for Hope Online Registration is now open for the 10th annual World Race for Hope 5k charity run/walk. Early bird registration ($20 adults, $15 for 18 and under) is available through 10/31. Registering online is fast and easy at y. One young man who I have come to know went on to engineering school. Last fall he approached the church to help him in raising funds to go to Africa with Engineers Without Borders. He has recently returned and they put in a well and four different pumping areas. What a privilege to know such fine young people. I am blessed more by them than they say that I give to them.

Though colds and flu are largely airborne, you can still transfer viruses from your fingers to your device and back again according to recent studies. Clean the screen with a slightly waterdampened microfiber cloth, which removes 100% of MRSA (drug resistant staph) pathogens without damaging the phone according to American Journal of Infection Control study. Then, swab your phone case with a disinfecting wipe that contains alcohol.

9 Christmas Shop 2016 Dear Partner Families and Friends of PIH, Children of families who meet the guidelines will each receive (3) gifts at the Partners in Hope Christmas Shop. The gifts are based on the three gifts JESUS received from the wise men. Families will be able to pick their own gifts either December 13 th, 14 th, or 15 th from 6 pm 8:30 pm. In keeping with our mission, participants will be responsible to either volunteer two (2) hours per child or make a small monetary contribution of $10 per child registered. If more than one child is registered, volunteer hours can be combined with monetary contributions. Volunteer opportunities are available starting now, are limited, and are on a first come, first serve basis, applications can still be accepted after that with payment. Applications will be accepted starting on Monday, October 24th and ending on Tuesday, November 22nd (or until we reach the maximum number of children). Applications will be taken during normal office hours; Mon 10-2, Tue-Thurs 10-4, Fri 9-12 at the Partners in Hope office W. Franklin Street, Troy. We will be serving families with children ages birth through 17 (including children 18 if still in high school.) ** REQUIRED INFORMATION: A parent s photo ID, social security card for each CHILD in the household, proof of address (recent utility bill and must be a resident of Troy or Casstown) and verification of ALL income for ALL adults (175% FPIG. Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent. Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners because you were foreigners in Egypt. Exodus 23:6-9 Africa Please be praying for IJM staff in Ghana as they engage churches and leaders of influence in the fight against child trafficking in Ghana's fishing industry. Pray that there would be a spirit of unity and passion in the Ghanaian Church to band together and be strong voice in this fight. Latin America Please pray for IJM s team in Guatemala as they work with the Guatemalan Congress to pass legislation that would enable the use of plea bargaining in cases of child sexual assault. The measure would dramatically improves access to justice for vulnerable Guatemalans by speeding up the legal process. IJM s team is entering the final stretch of negotiations with elected leaders and other child protection groups to iron out details of the proposal. Please pray for wisdom and for great favor for the team, and pray that the best possible bill would be introduced to congress and passed quickly. South Asia Praise God for three crucial convictions secured this week in one of our longest-running sex trafficking cases. Three women were found guilty for trafficking two teenage girls for sex at a hotel. This case has been in trial for seven years, and has, at one time or another, been handled by every attorney in our office because it s taken so long. Praise God for justice for these girls, and pray for

12 any follow up on the case now that a judgment has been reached. Southeast Asia Praise God for nine boys and girls who were rescued from two different homes in the Philippines. They were being sexually exploited in footage broadcast online. Both cases originated with referrals from U.S. law enforcement who started investigating Americans who were purchasing live shows of sexual abuse. Praise God for the Philippine authorities, U.S. authorities and IJM teams that worked together to find the children and arrest the suspects. Pray for the children, all under 10 years old, as they begin to process the trauma and adjust to a new aftercare home.
