Thank You! To my Church family, my heartfelt thanks go to my church family. I would like to thank Pastor Dave and Robby Lybarger who came early in the morning the day of my surgery to visit and have prayer with me. The calls, visits, prayers and concerns I have gotten since my knee surgery have been overwhelming. Not to mention the food that has been brought in. It is always a surprise to get my mail and notice each day that several members have remembered me with a card. That is such a great healing process and it shows the thoughtfulness and consideration of our members towards others. We have a very friendly church and I am more than pleased to consider it MY church. My God Bless each and every one of you, Nancy Yantis Exercise Classes Exercise classes will not be held this week but will resume Monday, July 20 th. 7 Food Pantry Update It s been a year since we moved to our new location. The space is GREAT and just what we needed for all our volunteers and clients. The pantry has served 20,818 individuals, 5,868 families and we have served 425 new clients this past year. We have started 2 new missions within the pantry. The first is working with the Red Cross for those families who have been put out of their homes due to fire or CO2 gas. We help get them back on their feet by filling their pantries with food replacing what they have lost. The 2nd is the Senior Program. This program helps seniors get through the month with a little extra food. The Food Pantry is a very busy place. This mission is to show Christ s love to our clients through our volunteers who give so much with their time, dedication, emotions and love as well as all of you who support this mission in Christian love. Donna Wilkerson NicaSwings.com Jazmina helps make the Multi-Color Hammocks and Swing Chairs at NicaSwings.Com. Jazmina, her husband Rodolfo, and their 6 children moved to Friends of Project Chacocente from the Managua city dump to make a better a life for their family. Her husband Rodolfo works hard and rides a bicycle 24 miles round trip each day to his job in Managua. (So, think twice before complaining about your commute in an air conditioned car.) Jazmina uses the money from hammock sales at NicaSwings.Com to support her family.
