1 May 27, 2018 Adoration at CCASTA is held the 1st Friday of each month from 12-7PM at St Augustine and the 3rd Monday 12-7PM at Ascension. St. Augustine Church is always open for visits during business hours. 5 Reasons to Go to Adoration Ever think any of these about Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament? I m too busy. It will be boring. I don t know what to do. I don t know what to pray. I won t get anything out of it. Fr. John Most people have these ideas before they experience being in the Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Here are some. He waits night and day in the tabernacle for you to visit. He is glad that you come to Him and he delights when you include Him in your concerns. No matter what you do, or don t do, your physical closeness to Jesus counts. Once while traveling, Bishop Fulton Sheen fell asleep in front of the Blessed Sacrament and woke up an hour later asking the Lord if that counted as a Holy Hour? The Lord said to him, Yes! That is how the Apostles spent their first Holy Hour. Grace is granted no matter how we struggle through our time in Adoration. Inner peace is one of the most noticeable and frequently cited fruits of Adoration. How sweet and full of comfort are the moments spent before the Blessed Sacrament! Are you in trouble? Come and throw yourself at His feet." - Saint John Vianney Wisdom is granted in the Real Presence. Bring a Bible or some spiritual reading and be amazed at how reading them in the presence of Jesus improves your understanding of the Gospel and how it applies to your life. I know a child who has brought homework to the chapel because she said, I m smarter in front of the Blessed Sacrament. For anyone who mourns a child lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, join us as we support each other, seek God's healing and peace, and prayerfully remember these precious little ones entrusted to our hearts. All are welcome, regardless of how long ago your loss may have occurred. Invite friends, family, and children of those who have experienced the loss directly. Light reception to follow. Those who attend will develop their ability to see where God is working in their lives and develop their self-understanding. Young men who come to Quo Vadis will be given the tools they need to discover the life to which God calls them. And they will have a lot of fun, too! This year Quo Vadis will take place from July 19th through 22nd. $225 includes everything, but scholarships are available. No worries we ve got you covered. We have an amazing program to introduce your child to the Catholic faith and prepare to receive Baptism (if not already baptized) and Reconciliation & Eucharist. We meet on Monday evenings at the same time and place as our program for adults exploring the Catholic faith or wanting to renew their commitment and refresh on the faith they learned as a child. Please be that person who smiles and moves over to make room Join Us for Adult Missions! Join us for Adult Week at Bethlehem Farm! Located in Summers County, WV (about a five-hour drive from the Baltimore area) the group week is a prayerful service-retreat experience for anyone aged 18+. We will spend the week of July 29-August 4 serving the local community in various ways, mostly through low-income home repair projects. The retreat fee is $325 for the week including all meals (often local and farm-fresh!) and lodging.
