The Pontifical Good Friday Collection Pope Francis has asked our parish to support The Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. Your contributions help the church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, offer religious education, and preserve the sacred shrines. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection also provides humanitarian aid to refugees in the Holy Land.

3 In case you missed Fr. Dennis flocknote last week Dear Parishioners, You may recall that last year Archbishop Lori announced the formation of pastorates to address the fewer number of priests in our Archdiocese who are available to serve as pastors. The term pastorate is defined as a pastoral circumstance where one pastor would serve and lead two parishes. This plan would ensure that every parish of the Archdiocese of Baltimore would have a priest serving in the role of pastor. The plan for St. Francis of Assisi and St. Louis in Clarksville was that our two parishes would form a pastorate in the year However, given my early retirement as a result of my health challenges, the plan will take effect on April 16 of this year. Archbishop Lori has asked Msgr. Luca to assume the pastorate with the responsibility of serving as pastor of both parishes. I will continue to serve at St. Francis through the end of April. Saint Francis and Saint Louis parishes are both vibrant Christian communities with excellent Pastoral Staff members and the hope is that each parish will continue to grow even stronger by cooperating and sharing our mutual strengths, talents and programs with each other. I want to take this opportunity to thank Msgr. Luca. We have known each other and been friends since our Seminary days in the 1960 s. As he and I begin planning for this transition, I ask that you keep us both in your prayers. The Knights will also be preparing a Graduation Booklet, honoring the Class of 2018, which includes photos and a biography of each graduate.
