2 May 15, 2016 PENTECOST Pastors Message: Today we celebrate the Church s Birthday with the great Feast of Pentecost. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit the Apostles were enlivened to go out from behind locked doors and preach the Gospel. With the Spirit we see a transformation from fearful, timid apostles to courageous people who took on the Roman Empire. That same powerful Spirit is given to us as well, but sadly how we fail to utilize its potential. Pentecost is a yearly reminder that we also are called to be empowered by the Spirit s power as well. This is what we see in the lives of the Saints as this is what Pentecost reminds us we should see in our lives as well! Please pray for all our faithful departed especially Michael Flynn May he rest in peace with the Risen Lord Jesus.
