John Williamson Please remember during these summer months when you may not be here because of vaca ons, we s ll count on your weekly support to meet our expenses. Thank you in advance for your generosity. I don t think our marriage would have survived without my family s help with our (many) kids when they were li le and so constantly physically and emo onally demanding. Time alone for date nights provided by family members helped us regain our peace and sanity through one of the most challenging periods of family life. - CCASTA mom. Nowadays, Catholic grandparents could consider service to their children and grandchildren a voca on a call to which they are uniquely suited and which is desperately needed. Sal Lombardo and his wife, Donna, relocated Humbled by God s mercy, we seek to follow Christ and live the joy of the Gospel through love and service. Mission Statement

The Catholic Grandparents Associa on, on.org, is full of resources and support for grandparents. Among other things, they help set up parish branches for prayer and support for grandparents who have such a unique role in this day and age. Grandparents vital contribu on to the family, the Church and society was never as important as now. We are living in unprecedented mes, with constantly changing social and moral values. Prayer is essen al to becoming a mission-driven ac ve parish, so please pray with us! As part of our fall Speakers Series (Sept. 21 thru Oct. 26) CCASTA will host a statue of the Homeless Jesus at. Augus ne Campus, Sept 9-15, Ascension Campus Sept 16 thru 22. Residents at St. Mar n's, the Li le Sisters of the Poor's nursing home nearby have a new group of residents that meet once a week to make sandwiches for the homeless. The group is in need of your help! They are in need of sandwich making materials: peanut bu er and jelly or lunch meat and cheese, and sandwich baggies. When one resident at the nursing home heard about this group he remarked, Your dona on will have a posi ve impact on both the nursing home residents and the homeless who receive the sandwiches. 4 Coffee and Donut Sundays return this fall! Beginning in September, Our Daily Bread at Ascension will no longer be able to deliver casserole pans. They will be available in the back of Ascension Church two weekends before they are due and also when you drop off your casserole. ODB will gladly accept any family size casserole, even those that are purchased. Please be sure it is frozen and labeled Ascension Church with the type of casserole printed on the outside. The pickup is the fourth Friday of the month between 7:30am and 8:45 am.
