Don t Forget: Fas ng and Abs nence During Lent Here are the guidelines: Abs nence: persons 14 years of age or older should abstain from meat (and items made with meat) Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent. Fas ng: Persons aged should fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. On fast days, one full meal is permi ed with two smaller meals that together do not equal the full meal.
