3 Marriage Preparation Program A Marriage Preparation Course will be held at St. Columbkille Parish Hall, beginning Friday, October 21, Saturday, October 22 and concluding Sunday, October 23 following the 11:00 am Mass. Facilitated by Deacon Alf and Raymonde Stong. Please register with the Parish Office at x121. Ask anything about Life, Faith and God Alpha is a series of interactive conversations about faith that allows anyone to explore Life, Faith and God in a friendly and informal environment. In each session there s dinner and a video, followed by a small group discussion. It runs for 10 weeks starting September 14 to November 23 at 6:15 pm in Guardian Angels Church Hall. Check the website at For more information please contact Anne Waggoner at Rosary Sunday The annual Rosary Sunday will be held at the Martyrs Shrine on Sunday, September 11. The outdoor Mass will be celebrated at the Polish Altar commencing at 12 Noon. The Procession of the Blessed Sacrament will commence at 2:30 pm with the Living Rosary and Benediction immediately following at the Papal Altar. All parishioners and their families are encouraged to attend this event.
4 Mark your Calendar St. Francis of Assisi 21 st Annual Bazaar Saturday, September 24, 2016 From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Luncheon and Dessert $8.00 Craft Table, Quilt Draw, Penny Table, Lucky Draw, Home Baking, Food Hamper, Jams, Preserves & Turkey Draw We are looking for baking donations and kitchen help. Please drop off Baking Friday, September 23 in the morning. Parish Outreach to Seniors (POS)-pilot program Update 1. We are very excited to announce Wanda Minnings has been identified as the Parish Outreach Coordinator. 2. If you would like to help in this important outreach there are a couple of ways. First: Volunteers: We need volunteers! We are beginning the process of recruiting volunteers. If you are already involved or would like to show the love of Jesus to seniors. Please sign up at the Parish Office (gangels@bellnet.ca). Training will be provided in the near future. Second: Are you aware of any seniors who may benefit from the outreach program? They may be seniors at home, nursing care facilities and other places in our community, regardless of their faith affiliation. Please contact Father Andrew Cyruk at acyruk@rogers.com) with potential names of seniors and places that we can reach out to them.
5 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be continuing to offer this beautiful formation process for young children ages 3-5 for the school year. Our Archbishop, Cardinal Collins will be visiting Guardian Angels Parish on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the 5:00 pm Mass. His Eminence will preside at the Holy Mass to lead us in thanksgiving to the Lord for 105 years of our beautiful Church. We are grateful to welcome our Cardinal and all parishioners, friends and visitors. Cardinal Collins will also be our special guest speaker at the First Annual Bishop s Dinner. Thank you to our fund raising committee members for all their great work and to all of you who supported this major fund raising event for our Church.
