Let's not be too hasty in defining who is "the wicked one" and who (namely us) is just! We are very quick to label others as evil, because we tend to label ourselves as good guys. We don't like it when we are brought up short by a prophetic voice that brings us some bad news about our own behavior. We don't like to be reproached for transgressions of the law or charged with violations of our training. We may condemn and abuse those who bring us up against these truths about ourselves when, if we were really good, we would thank them for helping to keep us on the right path. Respect Life Sunday is October 7th, 2018 Life Chain will have a peaceful and prayerful pro-life witness on that day. We will meet on the corner of Stevens Creek and Kiely Blvd in Santa Clara from 2:30 pm until 4 pm. Last year, 1548 cities and towns joined the annual event. Bring your own signs. There are a few available if needed. Mass is held the 1st Saturday of the month at 7 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church in San Jose. The next Doctors Mass is scheduled for October 6th. Come give your medical vocation some extra spiritual attention. Mass is followed by a light breakfast and fellowship with colleagues. The need for the help whether it is for essential toiletries or to put food on the table to paying a heating bill is ever-present in on-going. This is a quarterly collection. Saint Frances Cabrini s RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) group welcomes all those inquiring into the Catholic Christian faith as well as those adults who desire to complete their Sacraments of Initiation. Mass of Remembrance October 17th 2018 St. Elizabeth s in Milpitas Access codes to the Parish Center Any group, ongoing or newly incoming, have been given their access codes (Parish Center only) please give out the code to your group coming in. The access codes were put in place for your convenience as well as the office staff in allowing us to continue working without interruption. Of course if you need us, we are here. (with the exception of Tuesdays and Thursdays where the parish office is closed between the hours of 10am and 3pm but open 1 hour in the morning 9-10a and one hour in the afternoon 3-4p on both Tuesday and Thursday) Religious Education Save the Dates: Welcome back to the Religious Ed school year for grades 1 thru 12. Registration packets and calendar are ready for pick up in in the parish office. We are taking registrations after the 9:30am family masses this weekend as well the 30th. Rel Ed classes begin on Wednesday, October 3rd at 5pm for grades 1 to 12 in the Church. Fr. Michael and I will welcome everyone and all will receive a blessing from our Pastor.
