I really loved the students and families at St. Frances and would love to share my celebra on with them. Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos There is no one definition for a retreat, and the same retreat will mean different things for different people. For everyone, however, it is a time of rest and prayer A time to grow closer to God. SILENT RETREAT FOR WOMEN AND MEN A time to prepare our hearts and minds for Jesus' Passion and Resurrection. We will reflect on the final week of his earthly ministry from his entry into Jerusalem to his final day on earth. Spend Palm Sunday weekend in silent prayer saying "yes" to God. Fr. DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY St. Frances Cabrini will again celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday on April 23rd. The Divine Mercy Novena pamphlet will be available at no charge during Holy Week. The Novena itself starts on Good Friday. So, mark your calendar. Complete details will come out in early April. The Rosary for our Country begins at 6:30 pm, Fr. Pintacura's talk at 7:00 pm with a reception following. The Light is On for You Reconciliation Services on Wednesdays during Lent will be held 6pm to 8pm. On March 29, April 5 and April 12. These Lenten reconciliation services are to be in addition to - and not a replacement for Saturday confessions. 4 Soup s On! at St. Frances Cabrini s 39th Annual Soup Night. As we prepare for the 2nd to the last of our Soup Nights we want to thank you to our junior high students here at SFC who helped to set-up so you can sit down and enjoy! Our community comes together during Lent to share not just a bowl of soup but time with family and friends. Soup nights are sponsored by our SFC community groups and boards, (i.e., Parish Council, SAC Board, Men s Club, Ladies League, MCO, ICF), and organized by Mr. Bob Bombaci. Join us this Wednesday at 6pm in Essig Hall for the 5th Wednesday of our 6 soup nights during Lent. Please bring your own utensils, and bowl. Bread will be provided. We welcome you to bring a salad or a side-dish to share with others or just bring yourself! Suggested donations would be the cost of simple meal if you and your family were to go out to dinner. The theme this year is The Call and is calling all 8th grade graduating through 12th grade graduating students from SFC School, Parish and Home schooling to come join us for this amazing retreat. This year its a "first come- first served registration so you would need to sign up as soon as possible, there are no spaces saved for any parish. Better Choices, Better Health is a self-management program offered for 6 weeks by 2 trained leaders from your community. Learn about stress management, dealing with pain & fatigue, weight management, decision making and so much more! Village House: An Interfaith Shelter of Hope (SFC Helping Others) St. Frances Cabrini Helping Others welcomed 15 women into our community on 3/1/17. Thank you to all for the overwhelming response for coverage during the first three weeks of shifts. Over the next two weeks, we still need your Time, Talent, and generous spirit to share Jesus' love with our guests. There are still many opportunities to make a difference. Please prayerfully consider volunteering.
