3 LITURGICAL MINISTRIES Adult Choir Contacts: Bob Stasiak (Director) Ph:(732) Assistant Director: Renee Weber Phone: (732) If you enjoy singing, you should consider joining our Parish choir. We are a fun and friendly group of men and women of varying levels of ability. Our choir has a very good reputation, and we sing a wide range of repertoire in varied styles. We are seeking singers in all voice parts. Rehearsals are at 8 PM on Thursday evenings in the church. Additional practices are held during the Christmas and Easter seasons at 6:30 on Sunday evenings. The choir sings for the 10AM Sunday mass, and some additional masses during the holiday seasons. If you are interested, please contact us to schedule an audition. Boys and Girls in grades 3-8 make up the youth choir. Ushers Contact: Deacon Rolf Ph:(732) rfriedmann@strobert.com Establish and maintain an environment of peaceful reverence during Mass by ensuring the comfort of the parishioners, being aware of the needs of the Priest, taking of the collection and assisting other ministries when needed. Altar Servers Contact: Denise Bartone & Deacon Frank Weber Ph:(732) FJWeber@optonline.net Help the priest with vestments, lighting candles, carrying the books used at Mass and participate in the celebration of the Mass through listening, praying and singing. Contemporary Music Group Contact: Renee Weber / Carol Lippin Ph: (732) reneecweber@yahoo.com; clippin44@gmail.com Musicians of high school age and up come together to provide contemporary music for mass. We currently provide music twice a month for the 5pm Sunday mass, but may grow into weekly Sunday masses. Practices are once a week. We are currently seeking experienced musicians and singers, which include guitarists (acoustic and electric) bass players, keyboardists and drummers. Music inspiration is that of Christian Rock, and music currently being played on FM Star More members are needed! If you are interested, please contact Renee Weber to schedule an audition. 3

Class takes place every other month and is highly recommended for first time parents. Godparents are welcome and encouraged to attend these classes Pre- Cana Contact: Carolyn & Stephen Stumpf Ph:(732) cjstumpf@optonline.net; sfstumpf@optonline.net Pre-Cana is a program for couples preparing to receive and commit to the sacrament of matrimony. The Pre- Cana Team at St. Robert's is diocesan trained to present this program of marriage preparation, with seven team couples participating in the program. Pre-Cana conferences are held twice a year in the Parish Center, with team members presenting on topics ranging from finances to sexuality. New members will be required as current members leave this ministry. Indicate your interest in this ministry to Fr. Ed, the Team Moderator. RCIA Contact: Deacon Frank Weber Ph: (732) (Parish Office) or ( 732) (Deacon Frank Cell) fweber@dioceseoftrenton.org fjweber@optonline.net The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is a process that invites unbaptized persons and baptized Christians of other faiths to learn more about becoming Roman Catholic. The process also calls/invites baptized Catholics to complete full communion with the Catholic Church through the reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion. The people in the process consist of a team that plans and leads the process; candidates who are considering joining the Church or receiving the Sacraments; and sponsors who provide one-onone assistance to the candidates. 4

It is a process that includes the whole family. There are many reasons for a child not receiving baptism as an infant. We are here to assist and support those families wishing to bring their children into the Catholic Church. The children, we speak of, have shown desire and interest in knowing more about Jesus, God, the sacraments, and our Catholic way of life. Please contact us if know of anyone, who has questions about the Catholic Faith, or returning to the practice of the faith. We also invite you to consider joining the RCIA for Children Ministry Youth Ministry Contact: Parish Office Religious education for grades kindergarten through 8 th grade. Sacrament of Holy Communion is received during 2 nd grade. Sacrament of Confirmation is received in 8 th grade. The one hour classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for grades K-6 th either at 4:15PM or 5:30PM. Classes for grades 7 and 8 are held Monday and Tuesday at 7:00PM. Ph:(732) mickel52@optonline.net The mission of the Father Benedict Ministry is to provide temporary emergency or religious assistance to those less fortunate regardless of race. The applicant must be trying to help him/herself and must reside within the physical boundaries of the Church of St. Robert Bellarmine established by the Trenton Diocese in The Father Benedict Ministry members screen the increasing number of applicants requesting assistance. The ministry fund is solely supported through the generosity of the parish family s mass collections six times during the year Open Door Contact: Margie Golden Ph:(732) Margie.golden59@gmail.com Open Door is a non-profit, ecumenical food pantry and soup kitchen serving the needy of the Freehold Community. Open Door is always in need of volunteers, non-perishable food items, paper products and toiletries. In addition Open Door provides a Christmas gift giving program to children of families in need, and an after school tutoring program. Winter Homeless Care Contact: Deacon Andy Smith Ph: (732) bayak420@aol.com Parish Center is open Thursday nights during winter months to provide homeless men overnight shelter. Male parishioners act as chaperones. Assistance needed in areas of providing meals ;laundry services and providing transportation for homeless men to and from St. Roberts on Thursday nights and Friday mornings. Through the acts of hospitality and invitation it is the Ministry s goal to have all who enter St. Robert s feel as if they are a valued member of the faith family contributing to the overall good of the parish and the greater community. The Ministry seeks to foster a warm environment for all parishioners. Our goals are accomplished through awareness, leadership, service and information. Coordinate with parish technical service as well as The Monitor to publish photos for parishioners viewing. Work with our Diocesan Office promoting the mission of the Catholic Church's teachings and promulgations on the transmission of human life. 7

Meals Ministry also supports Winter Homeless Care Ministry by providing meals in Months of December through March. This serene place provides parishioners with a tranquil place to meditate and pray. Prayer Chain Contact: Parish Office Ph: (732) The Knights of Columbus is the world s largest Catholic lay organization. Membership is opening to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See 18 years of age and older. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, the community, families and young people. The Knights of Columbus raised and distributed over $151 million to charity and rendered over 69 million hours of volunteer service. Phone chain for those seeking prayers for their loved ones who are either ill or suffering. 8

Its mission is to aid disaster survivors in rebuilding their lives, their homes and their faith through donations. Members of the ministry conduct case assessments, evaluate need, match donations and arrange pick up and delivery of donations through volunteers. Requires organization of food basket donations; researching families in need and managing volunteers to pack and deliver baskets the Sunday before holiday. During Thanksgiving, hot meals are also provided Thanksgiving morning. Requires coordination of volunteers at Court Jester in Freehold. Christmas Carol Festival (CCF) Contact: Martin Weisman Ph: (732) comehome@strobert.com ; strobertadulted@yahoo.com The Christmas Carol Festival is a means of reaching out to those within our community who have strayed from their faith journey, left the faith entirely or who have issues with the church; through an evening of singing favorite Christmas Carols and sharing precious memories. 9

Event is focused on St. Patrick s day and Irish dance & music. Committee members are needed to help organize, sell tickets, set up and clean up the event. Day trips may consist of bus trips to local/tri state attractions, plays, concerts and/ or spiritual sanctuaries. Excellent way to enhance fellowship outside parish grounds.
