3 Mission Hope ~ K2K ~ Kids to Kids Outreach Dear Fr. Ray, When our sister parish of Sagrado Corazon in the mission of Kids to Kids in Guatemala asked for help to put a new metal roof on the church I wasn t sure how we could make it happen. We only had enough funds for the Starfish Ed Program at the time because we hadn t been fundraising since the Captain s last heart problem had him in the hospital. Then, the next day, after praying for God s help to help the villagers, I went to the mail box and there was a gift from Sacred Heart via Fr. Ray! It was an answer to prayer and a Gift from God. I burst into tears of joy and thanksgiving. I ran into the house and showed the Captain. He said, Thank you Fr. Ray and thank you Sacred Heart Family. The $1, check was EXACTLY what Luis estimated the cost of the roofing would be and the men got to work immediately. They replaced all the beams, and the metal. They painted the inside and outside of the Church and had a wonderful community celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart! All because you care and share with God s Poor! The villagers of Iglesia Sagrado Corazon, our sister parish in Lagunita Salvador Village on the Rio Dulce in Guatemala, send their gratitude, love and prayers. Thank you so much!
