Homecoming Meal after the Service. Speaker: Dr. Eddie Venable Revival Continues nightly: Sun-Wed, Oct at 7:30 pm. Annual Chicken Stew: Sunday, Oct 25 at 5 pm FALL FESTIVAL & TRUNK-OR-TREAT Saturday, Oct 31 from 5:00-7:00pm. This year, we are combining these into one community-wide event. Youth and Young Adults will provide games for the kids. Christmas program practices : October 4 Children grades 1st thru 8th Sunday, October 4th, at 4PM, in the choir room. Assistance is needed for set design, audio & lighting direction, program cover & content design. Parents of children are welcomed to come to practices. If this is the first time your child has been in a Christmas program, parents are encouraged to stay for the first practice. The program is scheduled for Sunday evening, December 20th. Christmas is right around the corner. It's time to plan for the Christmas program. I would like to meet with the younger children (ages 3-7) and their parent on Sunday afternoon, October 4th at 3:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the FLC to discuss the plans and hand out the small speaking parts. If you cannot attend, please let me know if your child wants to participate ASAP. me at RNNEELY@hotmail.com or call me at Thank you, Nancy Neely The Pastor s Corner Revelation 2:26 states, And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: The Bible makes a big deal over how you end things. In the aforementioned verse to receive the power you need to stay faithful to the end. How you end tells a lot about who you are and what you are. For example, if you had known Judas Iscariot up until the last few days of his life you would have thought of him as a great disciple of Jesus Christ and one of the leaders in His band of followers. But we know that is not how Judas ended things. Only the end revealed who Judas really was. On the positive side, Acts Chapter Six shows us that Stephen ended his life as he lived it, faithful to his Lord and Savior. Eddie Venable was a member of this church for several years. He took a job teaching at a Christian school and was required to move his church membership to that church. Eddie shared this with me: then he and Susan exited this church with grace and love. Even after they left Eddie has come back to coach Upward Basketball. I appreciate that. It is an honor to have Dr. Eddie Venable return and lead us in our Fall Revival. We begin revival on October 18 th with a joint worship service in the sanctuary at 11am. There will be no 9 am service that morning. Invite family and friends to come back for this celebration of how God has worked through Richmond Hill Baptist Church for over 125 years now. Let us praise the Lord for how Jesus Christ continues to work in this church. Perhaps you have not noticed but there are more and more young couples coming to our church. This church has always had a wonderful ministry toward families. It is Homecoming and that means a great meal will follow that Sunday morning service. Revival continues from Sunday Night at 7:30 through Wednesday night. Let us join in prayer that God will touch our church and our hearts. God bless you, Pastor Will

Total cost is $100 (VIP Ticket & motel). $50 balance & release form are due by Nov 30. Release forms are available in the youth room. Upward Sports UPWARD COMMITTEE MEETING Sunday, Oct 4 at Noon. 3 Ministries and Missions Church Library We have added the new book, WAR ROOM to our library. From the award-winning creators of FIREPROOF and COURAGEOUS, WAR ROOM is a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of our lives. Billy Graham says, "To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees." Check it out along with other new additions. Prayers & Squares Quilts have been dedicated recently for Shannon Church and Dan Lineberry. Please continue to remember them in your prayers. Rachel Pendry was so generous to our group several years ago in donating a serger sewing machine (a serger adds a professional finish to seams). Rachel was a professional seamstress who shared her talents with her family and many others. Dana shares that her mother made her wedding dress and also her bridesmaid dresses. We are so blessed to have Rachel as an example of someone who used her talents for others. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Pendry family in their loss. Sisters at Heart : Will meet Monday, 10/5 at 7 pm in the FLC. Purple Hats: Will meet Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 6 p.m. for "Bags of Love" with meeting to follow in the FLC.
