Aftr many yars, a nw Pharaoh bcam king of Egypt. H was vry man to th Isralits. H mad thm slavs undr harsh taskmastrs. Th Isralits wr mad to work vry hard. Pharaoh thought this would stop thm from having mor childrn. But th hardr th Isralits workd, th mor childrn thy had. Thn Pharaoh told th midwivs to kill all th nwborn Isralit boys. But th midwivs did not oby Pharaoh. Thy obyd God and did not kill th baby boys. God blssd thm for obying Him and gav thm houss to liv in. On day, a baby boy was born to on of th Isralit womn. H was a vry handsom baby. His mothr hid him for thr months. Sh did not want him to b killd by Pharaoh's soldirs. Whn sh could no longr hid hr son, sh put him in a small rd baskt. Carfully sh smard it with pitch. Thn sh st th baskt among th bulrushs of th Nil Rivr, and snt hr daughtr along to s what would happn. Soon th young girl saw Pharaoh's daughtr find th baskt floating among th bulrushs. Whn Pharaoh's daughtr opnd th baskt, sh saw th baby boy insid. Happily sh took him from th baskt. Aftr looking to s if othrs wr watching, h killd th Egyptian. Moss knw h should not hav killd th Egyptian and hopd that no on saw him. But latr, Moss larnd that somon did s him. Pharaoh soon hard that Moss had killd an Egyptian. Knowing his lif was in dangr, Moss quickly fld to th land of Midian. Whil in th land of Midian, Moss stayd with a man namd Rul (also calld Jthro). Moss latr marrid Jthro's daughtr, Zipporah. Many mor yars passd. Th Isralits, who wr vry sad, wr still slavs in Egypt. Thy workd vry hard to mak bricks for Pharaoh's buildings. God saw how th Egyptians tratd th Isralits and dcidd to hlp thm. H calld Moss to lad thm out of slavry. Moss was tnding his fathr-in-iaw's shp nar Mount Sinai. As h was hrding th flocks, God appard to Moss in a burning bush. Moss wnt closr to s th bush as it burnd. But Moss was afraid to fac th king of Egypt. H xplaind to God that h could not spak wll. So God agrd to lt Moss' brothr, Aaron, go with him and talk to Pharaoh. God told Moss that Pharaoh would not want to fr th Isralits. God knw H would hav to prform grat miracls bfor Pharaoh would lt thm go. Moss and Aaron thn wnt to s Pharaoh. Thy askd Pharaoh to fr th Isralits. This mad th king angry. H mad th Isralits work hardr than bfor. Now thy had to mak mor bricks and gathr th straw, also. Latr, Moss and Aaron wnt to s Pharaoh again. This tim God did miracls bfor Pharaoh by turning th shphrd's rod into a snak. But Pharaoh would not lt th Isralits go.
