Catholic Charities will receive all of the funds collected and direct them to agencies serving communities impacted by this recent disaster. If you would like to help, you can make a contribution online through Faith Direct at: VA713/ The Carolinas and parts of Southern Virginia have suffered billions of dollars in damage and more than 40 people have tragically lost their lives due to Florence. The Alexandria Tutoring Consortium (ATC) seeks volunteers from our parish to assist struggling readers at City of Alexandria elementary schools. ATC Tutors work with a kindergarten or first-grade student once or twice a week, 30- or 40- minutes per session, October through May, during the school day. Please place your gently used winter coats in the boxes at the back of the Basilica. A collection box is also located in the lobby of the school. Children s coats are particularly needed. The Knights will have the coats cleaned and distributed to those in need. Thank you for supporting this worthy effort.
