2 Pastor s Paragraphs As we begin a new year together as the church, let me offer some suggestions for ways that you can grow in your spiritual walk. Make a plan for reading the Bible in the coming year. You don t have to read the whole Bible but decide on a plan that meets your needs. There are several plans available on the Back to the Bible website. Make a plan for your prayer time. Develop a list of people or concerns you can be praying for on a daily basis. Make a list of people you can be nurturing in their spiritual journey. Pick a project or mission in the church where you could become more involved. Ask God what area in your life He would like you to focus on (serving, visiting, comforting, encouraging, teaching, helping). Jan 6, 13, and 20 th, I will be leading a class called The John Wesley Challenge, in which we will looking at 21 questions that John Wesley used to ask his followers to answer to help with their spiritual growth. This will be a light, but also challenging, chance to see how we can become more committed followers of Jesus. We will meet Sunday evenings from 6 to 7. Books are available in the church office. Hope you can join us. Pastor Trevor NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY!! Come and join in a fun evening of games and fellowship. Bring your favorite game and finger food if you would like, the date is Monday, December 31st, the time is 6 p.m., and the place is Romeo UMC fellowship hall. Bring friends. Mark your calendars for January 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. Walt Zatorski will again be coming to teach us line dancing and more square dances. You don't have to know how to line dance or square dance. Walt will start out with basic steps. We had a great time at our last dance so come back for some more fun, or for those who didn't make the last dance, please join us. Bring family and friends. Cost is $5.00 (children 12 and under free). Snacks will be served. Space is limited to 64 people, so sign up soon.
