6 Jesus demonstrated his love for all humanity with the greatest gift of all. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one s life for one s friends. (John 15:13) That is what our Easter Offering is all about. Jesus was clear that every time we show love to someone in need, we offer love to him, as well. He spoke of compassionate believers who fed the hungry, housed the homeless, clothed the naked, and visited those who were sick or imprisoned. We invite everyone member and visitor alike to make a gift to Marble s Easter Offering. 100% of your gifts (no overhead) will be given to nonprofit initiatives like: Getting Out and Staying Out, a nonprofit dedicated to providing second chances for 16- to 24-year-olds through intervention within prison systems, supportive counseling, education and job readiness training, post-release. Jericho Project, an organization committed to ending homelessness through supportive housing for families, Veterans, and young adults. Search for Common Ground, an international nonprofit working to build sustainable peace on all sides of conflicts, by providing the needed tools to work together and find solutions. Here s how the Easter Offering works: we take a special offering on Easter Sunday (you can designate your offering anytime during Lent) and 100% of your offering will be given to non-profits that feed the hungry, house the homeless, create opportunity for vulnerable children, and build bridges of understanding. Help us overflow our beloved Easter Egg Thermometer! This year s goal is $220,000. We invite each of you to begin thinking about what you might give. Gifts can be made using a pew envelope, our giving kiosk in the Marble Loft, or you can go to MarbleChurch.org. Whether you can give $1, $10, $100, $1,000 or more, let s all join together to Build Bridges of Hope and make a difference in our neighborhood, city and world!
