We need all ticket holders to enter through 5th Ave doors or ramp at 5th & 29th St. TRIFAITH SUNDAY January 21 11:00am Worship & Talk Back Marble has a long and rich history of participating in interfaith activities and one highlight is our 11:00am Worship with a conversation among spiritual leaders of three faiths: Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. This year Dr. Michael Brown welcomes Ms. Laila AlAskari and Rabbi Joe Potasnik. Laila Marie AlAskari is Director of Administration and Finance for The Brick Presbyterian Church where she is developing organization s systems to service inreach and outreach needs as well as interfaith work. In 2014 Islamic Center of New York University (ICNYU) awarded her Visionaries Award for her work in cofounding Islamic Center during her undergraduate years at NYU. In 2017 she joined board of Muslim Community Network to continue her work on building bridges within communities. Rabbi Joe Potasnik is Executive Vice President of The New York Board of Rabbis, largest interdenominational rabbinic body in world. He is Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Mount Sinai in Brooklyn Heights and serves as Chaplain of New York City Fire Department. He is cohost of Religion on Line, on WABC Talk Radio 770 AM, serves as religious commentator for 1010 WINS Radio, and hosts TV program Faith to Faith on Jewish Broadcasting Service. 6 Thanks for Giving Thank you to all who participated in our 2017 Holiday outreach projects, from Thanksgiving to end of December! In addition to projects listed below, re are many Marble members who volunteered or contributed funds for or projects. We are grateful to all who gave of mselves and helped ors in need! Marble is truly blessed to be a blessing. 40 youths whose families were devastated by recent hurricanes received $50 gift cards from Marble donations to Longpath Community Center, a ministry of our sister church St. Thomas Reformed Church. 189 children at SCAN, Icahn House (Children s Rescue Fund) and PS 30 tutored students received Christmas toys through Marble s Santa Letters. 100 homeless men and women received movie tickets at Mainchance DropIn Center homeless men and women received hats, gloves and scarves at Mainchance Dropin Center, Project Hospitality and St. Luke in Fields for homeless LGBTQ teens. 36 families from Icahn House were our special guests for Icahn House Children s Christmas Party in Marble Loft, assisted by 28 Marble volunteers. Volunteers from Women s Ministry treated mors at Icahn House Christmas Party to cosmetic makeovers and gift bags. 21 volunteers served Christmas Morning Brunch to clients at Mainchance Dropin Center. Donations were made to Housing+Solutions and Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter for purchase of turkeys for ir clients on Thanksgiving. 100 bags of food were assembled and delivered to Housing+Solutions for ir formerly homeless clients during Thanksgiving. 68 bags of food were assembled and delivered to Housing+Solutions and families of Marble s tutored students at PS 30 for Christmas. 44 knit hats and scarves from Marble s Knitting Ministry were delivered to senior clients at Search and Care. 48 containers of cookies were delivered and assembled as care packages during Thanksgiving for Search and Care s senior clients. 535 donated food items were delivered to Icahn House Food Pantry during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. v v v Thank you to all who contributed to our 2017 Christmas Offering!
