2 Page Two Dear Parishioners, Last weekend we had a wonderful musical production by our school and adult choir. Thanks to all who participated in any way for your many long hours of hard work. It all paid off beautifully. Special thanks to Yvette Broussard and Fr. Mark Melancon who helped to direct this massive production. We look forward to the next one. On April 24 Jacob Cunningham was presented the Altar Server of the Year Award for Sts. Peter & Paul by our Bishop. He has served for many years and just made his con irmation as well. So thanks to you Jacob. Keep up the good work. This weekend the SYG group will be selling po-boy tickets for their Steubenville retreat this summer. Po-boys will be picked up Sunday, June 9 at Sts. Peter & Paul School. Please support them if you can. Monday will be our school golf tournament at the Wetlands. People can still sign up at the last minute, so if you want to play golf please show up. Check on page 7 of the bulletin for more information. I will be leading a pilgrimage to the shrines in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico as well as the hot air balloon festival on October 4-7. The cost is $1, including air fare, bus, hotels, 6 meals and all taxes and tips. A $600 deposit is due by August 20. This price is locked in only for the irst 20 to sign up. After that it could be more. If you are interested please call Ethel Bordelon at or the rectory at My brother should meet up with us at some point. Vacation Bible School will be held June in the Parish Hall. Registration forms can be illed out at the church rectory. Cost is $30 per child. Also, if you are able to volunteer to help with this, please contact the rectory. I preached about the virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity last weekend so I would like to share with you the three prayers that go with these virtues. Please see page 3 for these prayers. You may want to cut them out. Both Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital are asking for Extraordinary Lay Ministers of Holy Communion to help distribute communion to the sick. If you are interested please see me and I will get you in touch with the proper persons. I love you all. Glenn Meaux and Cross Catholic Outreach invite you to attend the 2nd Annual Village of Hope Gala to support Fr Glenn s Kobonal Haiti Mission on Thursday, May 30 at the Hilton Lafayette, 1521 W Pinhook Road, Lafayette.
