Our next parish fair will be April 8-10, 2016 and we ll need lots of helping hands to plan and bring the 3-day event together successfully. The Core Committee will be meeting Wednesday, January 20 th at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. FAMILY LIFE Family life is sacred, but it is not without trial. Perhaps this is the most important message we can glean from today s readings. If Jesus, Mary, and Joseph can trip up sometimes can disconnect then we shouldn t find it surprising when such things happen to us as well. And parents everywhere (children, too) can probably relate to and take some solace in the Gospel s account of Mary and Joseph after Jesus explained why he stayed behind in the temple. They heard his words, Luke tells us, But they did not understand what he said to them (Luke 2:50). Amen! Nevertheless, Jesus does go back home with them, and continues to thrive under their care. 3 St. Jude Parish To Celebrate World Marriage Day 2016! This year, St. Jude Parish will honor couples celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 or more than 60 years of marriage, at the 4:00 p.m. mass on Saturday, January 30, 2016!!! You are invited to participate if you are celebrating one of these special anniversaries ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR OF 2016 Please contact Sandra Waguespack at to register to be a part of this special celebration. Prepare to feel special: All honored couples will receive a corsage and boutonnière, process in with Father Trey to reserved seating for Mass, receive a certificate, a keepsake program and a photograph. There will be a renewal of vows during Mass and a reception in the parish hall for you and your guest immediately following the Mass. This event is hosted by members of the St. Jude Marriage Encounter Ministry and St. Jude Church.
