When the Federal Government closes or has a delayed opening, morning Mass is cancelled. In order to avoid risking your personal safety, please use wise discretion when travelling in severe weather. 5 Summer Time INITIATION RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (RCIA) I will fix him like a peg in a sure spot. In today s Gospel, Jesus asks a two-fold question: Who do others say I am? Who do YOU say that I am? Simon Peter s profession of faith is lauded in ways that are similar to the First Reading. Today, we might reflect upon what it means to follow the Son of the living God. For in it is the sum of what St. Paul conveys in the Second Reading: For from him and through and for him are all things/to him be glory forever/amen. We hear such words leading up to the GREAT AMEN. As we prepare for communion, we too convey the faith of the Apostles confessing belief in the LIVING GOD and our adoption into this family.
