SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Engaged couples must make arrangements at least six months prior to the date of marriage. All are required to participate in a marriage preparation program. OFFERTORY GIFT BEARERS What an honor it is to carry the wine, hosts and offerings to the priest at Mass for consecration. AVAILABLE SERVICES FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED A sign language interpreter is available on the 2 nd and 4 th Sundays of the month at the 5:30 p.m. Mass. Along with the Masses, our parish has induction loop and receiver systems for the hard of hearing. The devices are located in the Usher Room. 7 CAR WASH Thomas Jefferson Drive As you get your car washed, help the poor and needy. We receive 10% of what CTR parishioners pay. We regularly donate this income to LINK, S.O.M.E. and the Women's Shelter in Leesburg. As you pay at the carwash, tell them you are from CTR so we receive their donation. SENIOR GROUP The CTR Senior Group meets Fridays at 11:30 a.m. in the Library for Bring Your Lunch meetings or at a local restaurant on the second Friday of the month. GIVING TREE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY Preparations for Christ the Redeemer's Christmas Giving Tree to benefit the Loudoun County Holiday Coalition are underway. Volunteers are needed for this program. HELP THE HUNGRY AND HOMELESS AT SOME'S 13TH ANNUAL TROT FOR HUNGER SOME invites parishioners to join them Thanksgiving morning, November 27. You can help to provide hot meals, medical care and other services to our community s growing number of poor and homeless residents at SOME s (So Others Might Eat) Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger. Held at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC, this annual 5K run and family fun walk helps SOME to provide more than 1,000 meals on Thanksgiving Day and on every other day of the year. SACREDNESS OF LIFE GROUP The Sacredness of Life Group proclaims the inherit dignity of every human person from birth to natural death. Our mission promotes the sacredness of life throughout our parish family and the community through prayer, education, service and advocacy, in accordance with the teachings of our holy Catholic Church. Plan to attend our next meeting on Monday, Nov. 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the library. We will review a pro-life documentary, "40". All are welcome. INCREASED OFFERTORY CAMPAIGN This week carefully determine if your parish giving is relative to the other ways that you spend your money. Next weekend, during Mass, you will receive a commitment card and will be asked to indicate your weekly commitment. Regardless of whether you give monthly, quarterly, etc., please indicate the amount that your gift represents on a weekly basis. If you have not used envelopes, checks or Faith Direct in the past, please begin to do so. It is very important for us to know how many members of our parish are actively involved in offering their financial support. Please make a conscious effort to examine your spending priorities, see where our parish is currently placed within them and, then, adjust your priorities as you deem necessary based on our obligation to support the work of the Lord. Thank you for your continued support. OLIVEWOOD CARVERS COMING TO CTR NOV. 8/9 Next weekend there will be a display of olivewood carvings from the Holy Land in the Atonement Hall Commons area. These carvings are made by the Christians of Bethlehem who use them as their source of income. Please come prepared to shop for the holidays and support our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. NATIONAL VOCATION AWARENESS WEEK NOV. 2-8 National Vocation Awareness Week will be celebrated in our country November 2-8. Please ask Our Lord for more dedicated, holy priests, deacons and consecrated men and women.
