SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Engaged couples must make arrangements at least six months prior to the date of marriage. All are required to participate in a marriage preparation program. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Guadalupe Chapel. OFFERTORY GIFT BEARERS What an honor it is to carry the wine, hosts and offerings to the priest at Mass for consecration! Gift Bearers actively participate in the celebration of the Mass by presenting the gifts of Bread and Wine at the Offertory and require no special skills. We receive 10% of what CTR parishioners pay. We regularly donate this income to LINK, S.O.M.E. and the Women's Shelter in Leesburg. SENIOR GROUP The CTR Senior Group meets Fridays at 11:30 a.m. in the Library for Bring Your Lunch meetings or at a local restaurant on the second Friday of the month. MISAS DOMINICALES Nuestra Parroquia de Cristo Redentor celebra dos misas Dominicales: la primera misa Dominical es celebranda todos los sábados a las 7:00 p.m. y la segunda misa Dominical a las 12:00 del mediodía del día Domingo. The Sisters of Adorers of the Holy Cross is a religious order founded by Bishop Pierre Lambert de la Motte in Vietnam in They carry out their mission of serving God's people by providing early childhood development, teaching catechism for youngsters and adults, offering pastoral care, youth ministry, and visiting the sick and the elderly in nursing homes. Please come prepared to support them. SACREDNESS OF LIFE MEETING The next Sacredness of Life meeting will be Monday, August 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the library. Come and learn and discuss the Sacredness of Life and the teachings of the Catholic Church. SPOUSAL BEREAVEMENT GROUP Christ the Redeemer will be offering a bereavement support group for widows and widowers coping with the loss of a spouse beginning September 16, The support group will be interactive, focusing on the stages of grieving, the tasks of mourning, strategies for getting through the holidays, and the opportunity for participants to tell their story. The group will meet from 7:00-8:30 p.m., on Tuesdays for eight weeks. The group will be facilitated by Alicia Waning, Rita Poston and Kathleen Sebek. Registration is required as space is limited. HELP IMMIGRANTS IN OUR COMMUNITY Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington- Hogar Immigrant Services, Education Services is currently seeking volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Citizenship preparation volunteer teachers for the upcoming fall 2014 semester. We offer six ESL levels and two CITIZENSHIP levels of instruction and classes are held Tuesday and Thursday in the evenings. You only teach once per week as a part of a teaching team. Training and materials are provided. No previous experience or second language required! Please help us demonstrate Christ's love by "welcoming the stranger" in this country.
