SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Engaged couples must make arrangements at least six months prior to the date of marriage. All are required to participate in a marriage preparation program. Please call the office to register for a preparation class and to arrange for a time for the celebration. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Guadalupe Chapel. OFFERTORY GIFT BEARERS What an honor it is to carry the wine, hosts and offerings to the priest at Mass for consecration! Gift Bearers actively participate in the celebration of the Mass by presenting the gifts of Bread and Wine at the Offertory and require no special skills. We receive 10% of what CTR parishioners pay. We regularly donate this income to LINK, S.O.M.E. and the Women's Shelter in Leesburg. As you pay at the carwash, tell them you are from CTR so we receive their donation. SENIOR GROUP The CTR Senior Group meets Fridays at 11:30 a.m. in the Library for Bring Your Lunch meetings or at a local restaurant on the second Friday of the month. For more info, visit SPOUSAL BEREAVEMENT GROUP Christ the Redeemer will be offering a bereavement support group for widows and widowers coping with the loss of a spouse beginning September 16, The support group will be interactive, focusing on the stages of grieving, the tasks of mourning, strategies for getting through the holidays, and the opportunity for participants to tell their story. The group will meet from 7:00-8:30 p.m., on Tuesdays for eight weeks. The group will be facilitated by Alicia Waning, Rita Poston and Kathleen Sebek. Registration is required as space is limited. Dwight Longenecker will address the concerns of those who identify as former Catholics and nones (no religious affiliation), as well as strengthen the faith of practicing Catholics. HELP IMMIGRANTS IN OUR COMMUNITY Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington- Hogar Immigrant Services, Education Services is currently seeking volunteer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Citizenship preparation volunteer teachers for the upcoming fall 2014 semester. We offer six ESL levels and two CITIZENSHIP levels of instruction and classes are held Tuesday and Thursday in the evenings. You only teach once per week as a part of a teaching team. Training and materials are provided. No previous experience or second language required! Please help us demonstrate Christ's love by "welcoming the stranger" in this country.
