Masses can be offered for the living or deceased. Currently, we have several weekday Masses available, and a few Sunday Masses. Fund for the Poor Capital Improvements Thank you for your generous support. Thank you to those who have made a pledge or contribution to the 2018 Diocesan Services Fund. Currently, 81 members of the Corpus Christi Community have participated in the DSF campaign. Of our $75,000 goal, the amount pledged is $43,365. To all of our parishioners, please consider how you can do your part to help the parish achieve its goal, and to increase family participation. There are many ways to donate to the DSF pledge cards and envelopes are available in the vestibule, online donations can be made at dsf, or call the Archdiocesan Development Department at Thank you for supporting the DSF! FIRST COMMUNION INTERVIEWS Saturday, April 7, 9:00 am 12:00 noon Prefontaine Hall Candidates preparing for First Communion will be interviewed on Saturday, April 7, from 9:00 am 12:00 noon. An appointment is NOT necessary, however it is important that you arrive NO LAT- ER than 11:45 am. Our priests and catechists will be conducting the interviews. Candidates should report to the cafeteria, sign in, and then wait until they are called to meet with their interviewer. Parents will be asked to wait in the cafeteria during the interview. Each interview will take about 15 minutes. Parents, please be sure that your child is well prepared. A list of interview questions and answers was distributed at the First Communion Retreat in March. 4 Page 4 PARISH NEWS (continued) SPRING FLING NEEDS & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Our parish bazaar is celebrated on Saturday and Sunday, April 28 & 29! That leaves time now for you to clean out your jewelry box, pot a few plants from your garden, or gather up your unused handbags and purses all in good condition, of course! This year s bazaar will feature the ever-popular Jewelry Booth and a Handbag Booth too! The Plant Booth is in need of potted plants that will bring beauty to another person s flower bed! We are also accepting donations of cakes, cookies and other baked goods for the Cake Walk! The weekends of April and April 21-22, we will be accepting donations of 2 liter bottles of soda for the Ring Toss Booth and cases of bottled water and soda to be sold at the concession stand! Your donation will help to reduce our expenses! We will soon be asking for volunteers to work the booths! Please be ready to say YES and sign your name for the time you would like to volunteer! 6 Page 6 ENTREVISTAS PARA LA PRIMERA COMUNIÓN Sábado, 7 de abríl, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Salón Prefontaine Los candidatos que se preparan para la Primera Comunión serán entrevistados el sábado, 7 de abril, de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. Una cita NO es necesaria, sin embargo, es importante que llegue ANTES de las 11:45 a.m. Nuestros sacerdotes y catequistas conducirán las entrevistas. De la misma manera que los relatos de los testigos en la lectura de hoy, la vida gloriosa y gozosa que nos rodea nos ayuda a creer en la buena nueva de la Resurrección y exclamar " Aleluya!" Hoy en la Sagrada Escritura escuchamos a Pedro, a Pablo y a Juan quienes hablan con convicción de haber visto al Cristo resucitado. El relato del Evangelio según san Juan incluye a María Magdalena, quien también tuvo el privilegio de ser testigo de la Resurrección y contarles a los demás la buena nueva.
