Dear Parish Family, Christ is risen, alleluia! MESSAGE A We have shared the Lenten desert journey of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving, and prepared for the Resurrection of Christ and our victory over sin and death. We now celebrate the season, which lasts until Pentecost Sunday. During this time, we as a parish can make the most of this special time in the liturgical year by receiving Holy Communion frequently, celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation, reading Scripture, and being witnesses of the Gospel to those in our lives. Let us all share the hope that comes from the Risen Lord, today and every day. Dear Parish Family, MESSAGE B This year my message to you is in the form of a simple prayer. It is my hope that you will use it during prayer before meals or in the mornings or evenings throughout the season. I pray that the extra time spent in prayer will bring grace and joy to your home, and also will strengthen us as a parish family. Resurrection Prayer Heavenly Father, Lord of life and death, when Christ our Paschal Lamb was sacrificed, He overcame death by His own dying and restored us to life by His own rising. In virtue of His life-giving Passover, pour your Holy Spirit into our hearts, fill us with awe and reverence for you, and with love and compassion for our neighbor. Dear Parishioner, MESSAGE D is a time of joy and celebration of our Risen Lord, who purchased for us the rewards of eternal life. For Catholics, is much more than just one day it is a 50-day celebration of this amazing grace. How can we continue to honor Christ and His sacrifice throughout this important season? Here are a few ideas: Make time for prayer. Have dinner with your family. Show reverence for God s creation by spending time outdoors. Remember the poor and the outcast by serving a meal or praying for them. Do something special each Sunday during the season, and make it a tradition. Through these simple practices, I pray that your faith, and the faith of our whole parish family, will grow not only during but also throughout the year. 4
