2 Page 2 PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS LOOKING TO THE LAST DAY Today the Church remembers all who have walked the way of Christ and passed from this life. The readings all look to the last day, when we shall all rise from the dead and be reunited. The prophet Daniel announces words of warning and welfare. He cautions us against the judgment to come, but he also comforts us and assures us that all who live a life of virtue and justice will find life eternal. The reading from Romans reminds us that, because of Christ's passion, death, and resurrection and our entrance into that paschal mystery through baptism, we now share in the new life won by Christ. This recognition has repercussions: we need to live righteously now, that we might rise to life forever with Christ on the last day. In the Gospel Jesus pledges that all the Father has given him will not be lost. All the faithful will be raised to joy and live forever in the presence of God. Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co. NOTICIAS DE LA ESCUELA PARROQUIAL CORPUS CHRISTI The Catholic Church celebrates All Saints Day on November 1. This year, the holy day occurs on a Saturday. Our PreK through 8th grade students chose a saint for their classroom and studied about their particular class saint. The life of each saint serves as an example for the students throughout the year, to live a Christian life as a young person in today s time. Have you noticed their saint banners on display in the church? Please take time to enjoy the banners of the saints displayed along the wall, and maybe choose one that is your favorite too! The banners will be on display for several days. Enjoy! Don t forget that our annual school auction, Saints Alive on Cheena Drive is planned for Saturday, November 15! 4 Page 4 MISA MEMORIAL & RECEPCION RECORDANDO A QUIENES HAN MUERTO VIERNES 7 DE NOVIEMBRE, 7:00 PM Cada año recordamos a nuestros queridos feligreses y miembros de sus familias quienes hayan fallecido este año pasado con una Misa Memorial. Este año, quienes han muerto desde el 1o. de Noviembre del 2013 hasta el 31 de Octubre del 2014, van a ser reconocidos por su nombre durante esta Misa. Una Misa Memorial se va a celebrar en la Parroquia Corpus Christi el viernes 7 de Noviembre a las 7:00 pm, rogando por los miembros de nuestra parroquia y los miembros de nuestra familia quienes hayan muerto durante el año pasado. Una sencilla recepción se va a ofrecer al terminar la Misa para continuar reflexionando y celebrando las vidas de nuestros queridos feligreses y los miembros de sus familias. FORMACION DE ADULTOS Tenemos el gusto de comunicarles que recientemente se está teniendo formación de adultos, los domingos de 10:15 11:15 am en el Salón # 15. Todos son bienvenidos a participar en este grupo. Actualmente se esta ofreciendo el tema sobre la Misa. Si desea información adicional, favor de llamar a la oficina. MEMORIAL DE TODOS LOS MUERTOS Durante el mes de noviembre, pedimos especialmente por nuestros familiares y amigos que han fallecido. La conmemoración de los difuntos es celebrada el 2 de noviembre en las Misas de al fin de semana. Una mesa se va a colocar en el vestíbulo para pones fotos de tamaño pequeño de nuestros seres queridos. SACRAMENTO DEL BAUTISMO LUNES 10 DE NOVIEMBRE, 7:00 pm Nuestra parroquia nos ofrece esta gran oportunidad de aprender más acerca del Sacramento del Bautismo, que todos apreciamos tanto y que tal vez desconocemos la riqueza y fuente de gracias que Dios no prodiga a través de él. Esperamos que cada uno de nosotros hagamos el tiempo para formarnos y enriquecernos con esta enseñanza. Todos somos bienvenidos con nuestra familia, amigos y vecinos!
