A plenary indulgence is the remission of all the temporal punishment due to our sins. A partial indulgence is the remission of part of the temporal punishment due to our sins. Day #205: What is an indulgence? An indulgence is the remission granted by the Church of the temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven. Receive the Holy Ghost; whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. Please join us! DATES: Tuesdays, April 3 to May 22 TIME: 7:00 8:30 PM LOCATION: Parish Hall Oremus is a Catholic prayer study program that will teach you the essentials of a fruitful prayer life. Over the course of eight weeks you will discover how God speaks to you, even in the smallest encounters. You will learn how to express yourself to God in prayer and how to hear his voice. Oremus includes eight video presentations by Fr. Mark Toups, lively small group discussions and inspiring readings and reflections for each day. COST: Workbook is $15.00, available at the April 3 rd session. For more information please contact Pat Drechsler at or drpatgangi@gmail.com Youth Group Outings Salidas de grupo juvenil Thursday we celebrated the night with a bonfire celebration. We prayed around the fire and wrote down notes of gratitude, confession and petitions to our Lord Jesus. Kids threw the notes in the fire to symbolize themselves giving up their pains, hurts, sins, gratitude, uncertainties and love to God. It is his light that burns away the pain and leads us to eternal joy. It was a fun night and we hope you join us Thursdays at 6pm. El jueves celebramos la noche con una celebración de la hoguera. Oraron alrededor del fuego y escribió notas de gratitud, confesión y peticiones a nuestro Señor Jesús. Niños a través de ellos en el fuego para simbolizar a sí mismos abandonar sus dolores, heridas, pecados, gratitud, incertidumbres y amor a Dios. Es su luz que quema, el dolor y nos lleva al gozo eterno. Fue una divertida noche y esperamos que Acompáñanos el jueves a 6:00. Palm Sunday is the beginning of the holiest of Christian weeks. Let us pray for the grace to take up our own cross and to follow Jesus through death to new life. In February, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring the mercy of Jesus into the hearts of the poor by providing 110 food boxes to 78 families (160 adults & 71 children) and making 104 phone/home visits to assist with utility, rent or other needs. Hoy es el Domingo de Ramos y el comienzo de una de las semanas más Santa de la Cristiandad. Recemos por la gracia de tomar nuestra propia cruz y seguir a Jesús a través de la muerte a una vida nueva.
