LEGION OF MARY ROSARY FRIDAYS IN OCTOBER, 6:30 pm October is the month of Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary. The Legion of Mary invites you to join them to pray the rosary on Friday evenings in her honor. We gather at 6:30 pm in the church. All are invited to share in this special prayer! INFANT BAPTISM PREPARATION CLASSES Classes for parents and Godparents are scheduled for Monday, October 12 and 26, 7:00 pm. Parents are required to schedule an interview before attending the class. The Priests and Brothers of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament are hosting an information evening on Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30PM in the parish to introduce you and your son to the discernment opportunities available to him during his college years. The event will last only one hour and dinner will be provided courtesy of the Knights of Columbus, the members of the Aggregation of the Blessed Sacrament and the Parish Vocation Committee. Corpus Christi Catholic School Students Understand the Importance of Helping Others The prekindergarten, kindergarten and first grade students collected school supplies for needy students in Guatemala. Sister Miriam, a Dominican Sister, visited the boys and girls to discuss the way of life in Guatemala. Sister Miriam discussed the similarities and differences between schools in Guatemala and those in the United States. The children presented their donations at that time. As a supplementary activity, the students are learning about the Guatemalan culture through the class bears that have recently arrived from Guatemala. Each pre-kindergarten and kindergarten student will take home one of the "stuffed, furry friends" for a week's visit. The boys and girls will journal of their time together and share their experiences with their classmates as they continue to explore the traditions and customs of Guatemala in their classrooms. Mazie S. McCoy, Ed.D. Principal EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT SEEKS SUP- PORT! My name is Aaron Goodman, I am a graduate of Corpus Christi School and my family is a member of the parish. In the spirit of Saint Francis my Eagle Scout project is to make elevated dog beds for a local no kill animal shelter. My intention is to give dogs a comfortable bed for them to lay on while they wait for their forever home. I am asking for your help with donations for the shelter of dog food, gently used blankets, towels or toys. These items will be collected at the pet blessing this Sunday at 4:00 pm. If you are unable to attend, there will be a box in the parish office until October 12th, so feel free to drop off items. I will be at the pet blessing to help Fr.
