We also want to sincerely apologize to all those we had to turn away due to running out of food much earlier than expected. We appreciate your support and know that you look forward to these dinners; it truly disappointed us to have to turn away so many of you. We ask that you please accept our apology and give us another opportunity at the next BBQ dinner we hold. We promise not to disappoint. Thank you to the parish ministries and organizations who were well represented at last weekend s Ministry Fair. You did a terrific job of educating our faith community about your purpose and mission, and the meaningful ways your ministry contributes to the life of Corpus Christi Church and School! The Stewardship Council is most appreciative of the parishioners and their families who visited the Ministry Fair. You signed up to serve and volunteer in a variety of ways from service to prayer and more! We enjoyed refreshments and visited with our fellow parish members. All are welcome the Rosary will be prayed in both Spanish and English. The Catholic Church dedicates the month of October to Mary, our Mother, the Mother of Jesus, and encourages us to pray the rosary each day too. On the last Friday of October, October 26, a special rosary will be prayed as we honor the Virgin Mary. Invite a friend join us in this beautiful, peaceful prayer. Another opportunity to pray the Rosary is on the third Saturday of each month. Our next gathering is planned for Saturday, October 20, at 9:00 am, by the outdoor shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In recognition of Respect Life month, our prayers will be focused on the unborn. All are invited to join us! ANNUAL BLUE MASS Auxiliary Bishop George A. Sheltz will preside at the Annual Blue Mass honoring all law enforcement, criminal justice personnel, support staff and their families. The Mass will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 5 p.m. at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy. in downtown Houston. Officers are encouraged to wear dress uniforms without the hat. Agencies are encouraged to bring equipment for the public to see and to be blessed after the Mass.
